What did they do during the off season?

Teams stopped blitzing and zoned us like mad after Denver last season and our offense tanked.

Fast forward to last night and they once again had no answer for the zone.

Is there a single professional football person in the organization with a real voice?
Will McClay - is his role so limited and pigeon-holed that he can't speak out - and the Joneses won't listen anyway?

Well, tickets are still for sale and the concessions are open.

Lol -- while I'm sure it may be something of a comfort for both Jerry and Stephen, I can't begin to imagine it's enough for the fans or the players. The players are smart enough to know what to expect from now on. Unfortunately, it's an ugly picture.

They're due to play the Bengals, a really tough team, with Rush as their QB. He's had a grand total of 1 live pro game under his belt, leading an offense that just got their tails handed to them. I feel bad for the players, who deserve better. They were let down by the FO, well before the season started.

Yea sir , our beat writers and local media were all calling out our front office . This was a very predictable result. And it’s all on them.

wow, that's some critical thinking. I wonder why nobody else noticed that.

I think we need Garrett back.

The Cowboys were far more concerned with cutting their expenses than they were in replacing their lost talent at WR. Things might get better playing lesser teams but the version of the Cowboys that played last night wasn't prepared to take on the Bucs. Let's see if playing lesser competition helps! ;)
Yep

That’s our only hope . I’d say the critics were spot on with how our FO mismanaged our situation with OL and WR.

As long as Jones & Son are calling the FO shots we fans are reduced to hoping for a true miracle season. We are in "Catching lightning in a bottle" and "Blind hog finds an acorn" type territory. And sadly, it looks as if it not going to change for a long, long time......

Whenever someone is trying to defend Jones & Son as NFL managers I just remind them that it took 9.5 long years for that duo to figure out that Garrett could not coach. That usually ends the conversation and their weak defense of the Ole' Jer and Fat Stevie.
but Jerry was training the great Jason on the job and we really would have hated for someone to reap all the rewards from Jerry's training of Jason.
Maybe Jason just needs ten more years of training. We could have had a dynasty if Jerry would have trained him more. Now he's a loser robotic commentator.

Regardless of what anyone thought of Amari as a player, he was still a Top-10/15 WR in the league. If you let him go, you better have a good plan to replace him. Instead, they wanted to roll the dice on a role player like James Washington (who has only averaged 400 yards and 2 TDs/per season in his career) and a 3rd round rookie WR from a small school o_O
Totally agree, you can’t lose a player like Cooper and replace him with someone who would be lucky to make a roster, especially knowing Gallup is going to be out. Same with the offensive line.

On game day I will be busy elsewhere. My seat at ATT will be vacant and my recliner will be empty for away games. Fall is nice weather for golf. Fall fishing is always enjoyable. I may even go hunting with the guys one weekend (I do not hunt anymore buy I enjoy the camping.) This Christmas there will be no Cowboy items presented by me as gifts to family members and friends (they are not appreciated and enjoyed by folks like they once were anyway.) I am making some changes until further notice. I am tired after 27 years of this. I will be a fan but just not a "all in" fan anymore.

Don't buy this either. Izzy is not the downhill quick to the ball hard hitting safety that Kearse is. But it wouldn't surprise me if he has a pick I do think he's a good player in his own right.
