Cowboys future Superbowl story

The Cowboys are certainly on the rise and they are still getting built up. The strategy is to buikd a team that will be competetive and legitimate contenders for the next ten years.

And Jason Garrett will be disliked until he finds success is the playoffs....which he will.

Fans didn't like Tom Landry either, not really. In his first ten seasons as the Cowboys Head Coach, the team was 1-4 in the playoffs.

They then went on to go 12-4 for their next 16 playoff games.

Many of you want a dream season, Garrett and company are preparing us for a dream decade. 2015 was a fluke, this team is being built the right way for longevity. That took time but we are here. Winning ten or more games will be the standard.

I'm inpatient like most people but I agree. If Dallas can score 2 good defensive drafts and maybe pickup a difference maker or 2 in fa they are setup for a long run of being contenders.

Last year was the year. Unfortunate our coach didn't have our guys prepared for the playoffs.

People have yet to realize how devastating blowing last season was. Will be a long time before things are set up that well again. The same delusion that Dolphin fans had after first season of Marino. At least Miami had a good coach then.

It's all we can hope for. Lol Dallas has been bad at drafting defensive players and doesn't use fa.

We'll find out if we're on the rise next season or if 2016 was just another fluke like the 2014 season. We haven't had back to back playoff seasons since 06 and 07. We're up one year and down the next. High expectations seem to lead to disappointing seasons.

Our defense is riddled with holes so unless we can fill some of them with at least a couple of solid players and have some players step up like Brown, Jones and Irving we could have a tough time validating last season especially if we suffer any key injuries on offense.

This is why despite everything, after smack talk with a Packers fan, in the end I will always thank them. Because of their team the Stealers didnt get #7, and in our own house.....

unfortunately for cowboys fans all we have is the landry years and the Johnson years other than that its been pretty dismal since 2000 there has only been about three teams that have had consistent wining season of course the pats are the standard

Unfortunately this front office hasn't shown itself to be very good at evaluating defensive players. Couple that with bargain bin free agents like Nolan Carroll and the sketchy play calling and I honestly don't see this team winning a SB anytime soon

One playmaker on defense can make the difference. I have confidence out FO will find him this year.

Totally agree with the two good drafts, even one might do it if the spend some of that money that should be available next year. I just have serious doubts about their drafting ability when it comes to defense

One draft won't be enough. Especially after the welcome purge this offseason. But the future is exciting which I could never picture after romo.

at the rate they are going superbowl and dallas cowboys in the same sentence are far apart. You have to win a divisional playoff game first then a championship game after that before you can go to the superbowl
