Rogerthat indeed. I've been through it a few times and it never gets any easier. Not ashamed to say I cry like a baby every time I have to put my dog down. Just tears me to pieces frankly. They're always there for us (as I write this my buddy is laying down next to me) through thick and thin, good and bad. Unlike people, they don't EVER disappoint us. That said, don't ever wait to go out and get another one asap. Many dogs (and cats) need good homes, and time is of the essence. I've adopted my last three from the humane society and they've been fabulous dogs. I NEVER feel right, safe or well without my dog at my side. 8 minutes to kickoff and my pooch and I are ready to ROLL! Let's do this......
