Love him out hate him you have to give him credit for the amount of talent he’s amassed on this team the last few years. Sure McClay and the scouting department and coaches all have a part but the GM is in charge and hires them. I mean you put a player like Malik Turner out there and look at what he does. Kelvin Joeseph plays 57 snaps and allows -2 passing yards. Anger the under appreciated Pro Bowl punter pinning teams deep. Sticking with Gregory. Releasing Jaylon Smith. I could go on and on and haven’t even talked about the big dogs but bottom line is I haven’t seen this much talent on the team since the Herschel Walker trade. Kudos to the GM.

Good post, I don't see how anyone can slam Jerry, I know he is doing his best to get another ring, has he made a couple of bone headed moves you bet but all in all seems we are still doing better than most, I don't think anyone wants to win more than he does.

No one can question Jerry’s desire to win , he should put his pride and foot ball mind away and listen to his team which he is doing for the last few years , is bringing dividends . Now we have offense and defense gelling at the right time and backups are no push over , so if we make a run and win a SB , Jerry will look like hero.

Rowdy is still around though. :muttley:

Sorry to rain on the positive take. :lmao:

Can't give kudos based on recent developments
When looking at the last 26 years

You can live in the past, have no hope and be miserable if you want. Or you can take a moment to look at everything that's taken place with this team recently and be positive. It's your choice. I choose the later.
Not miserable and I have hope
Enjoying the season
But I am not giving Jerry a pass on the last 26 years.

And draft Parsons, sign key FAs, get the NFL to change the marijuana rules so that Gregory gets to play......coaching matters, but players matter more.....and that's coming from a coach.

Absolutely and what I mean by having the right coach in Dan Quinn is he looks at more than prototype mold. We may not have target parsons but with our targets off the board Quinn agreed to draft the best defensive player in the draft, something we didn't always do. He also finds innovative ways to use guys to our advantage such as his big nickle and dime packages. Of course talent matters, if we only had bums we wouldn't be 11-4 but no one thought our defense was this good. Quinn is a big part of who we targeted in the draft, free agency, and how we use that talent. Certainly not trying to take anything away from the players, but I don't think they would be as good under the last 2 Dc's we had.

Fair enough as far as kudos to Jerry.

Good players were never really the problem here.

Must have been tough for him to actually admit the guy who he thought would be the next Tom Landry (mostly because he just wanted him to be) isn't going to be.

Took him just a bit too long to have that sink in for my taste, but in terms of right now.....it's going well.

And we need to seize this opportunity because in this league, next year ain't a guarantee.

It was a 25 year plan. Once the dynasty was destroyed.

I've been on him hard as well. He's solely responsible for all those years of frustration. But if you blame him for the futility you have to give him credit for what he's done lately. Let it go or it will eat at you and fester.
