Before TC the 3 biggest issues for the Cowboys were:

1) WR depth
2) OL depth
3) Kicker

One week into camp Washington goes down and through 2 preseason games Tolbert looks like asking him to be more than a 3rd/4th WR week 1 is too much (which is perfectly normal for a 3rd round WR from South Alabama). So relying on Fehoko and Noah Brown neither of whom could make the active roster last year except for some ST snaps.

Tyron has a health issue flare up 2 months before expected. His health is only going to be average the rest of the season. He doesn’t ever fully recover at his age. It’s just pain management

Kicker. Team came into camp with 2 kickers. Cut both and now are on their third who they also cut 3 years ago.

For all those who said the team was fine and wouldn’t have to worry about Tyron’s health or WR depth, how are you feeling now?
Feel like we would have been better off keeping Greg Z if we were going to end up with Maher as his replacement.

Anyways, if the qb doesn't play well there are some ready-made excuses all set to go. So he's got that going for him.

I can't imagine anyone said we wouldn't have to worry about Tyrons health.

People were believing the whole “he’s in best shape of his life” story and “injuries last year were bad luck”

It did seem the surgery helped, but yeah I'd be hard pressed to suddenly consider him durable.

Not really.
WR Tolbert had his best practice this week. Noah Brown had his best camp since he's been here. Gallup is so far ahead of schedule they aren't even putting him on PUP. Turpin looks good not only as a return man but also as a WR.

OT Tyron was going to get hurt, his injury forces the issue into the forefront to be addressed instead of everyone worrying about if and when he would get hurt.

Kicker They tried three kickers and picked the best one. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being better than the guy we had last year.

:hammer:.....and another problem....Zeke. He's done. Can't believe we are still going to rely on this guy for another season.

You think those people who claimed they weren’t concerned then are all of a sudden going to back down? Of course not. This team has issues for sure. Parsons has to be a superhero and carry this team. And he might be able to.
Parsons isn't the only talented player!

They don't have a choice. Too much of a cap hit. They have to keep him for one more season.

This franchise has been a "One step forward, two steps backwards" organization since Jerry removed Jimmy. If they don't address the Tyron Smith issue immediately, it will be bad.
But when all else fails......there's a RB to blame, to dissect, to analyze, while dismissing all the snowballing failures in this 2022 team, that will be overlooked or with a lack of regard or concern. After all, there is a HC in waiting.
