Cowboys have added a ping pong table in the middle of the locker room

Jimmy and the Big Tuna would love that. Now if they could get some lawn darts on the asthma field we'd be set.
This may hurt your agenda, but facts are facts

I was young, only 23 or 24, but we were gym rats, man. We didn’t leave. We use to have pingpong tournaments until 7, 8 at night in between watching film. That’s the culture that it was. That was the culture Jimmy bred. Valley Ranch was home. All of us guys, we did things together. We were a family. We hung out. We talked s--- to each other. Anything went.

Also, remember everyone getting mad about Schottenheimer changing the locker room?

For 29 years, Landry did it his way. When the team moved its headquarters to Valley Ranch in 1985 the locker room was an absolute maze of crooks, crannies and cubicles, with seemingly no rhyme or reason. He let the players choose where they sat, leading to - for example - punter Mike Saxon bunking next to linebacker Jeff Rohrer.

It led to two Super Bowls, but along came Jimmy harumphing that the set-up was "too clique-ish." He literally tore down the walls at Valley Ranch, and divided the spacious locker room into two halves with offensive players on side and defense on the other. In the middle of the room were leather couches for relaxing and tables for dominoes, etc.

No offense to you OP, but I dont care about none of this ****

This team needs to win in January. Ping Pong tables and moving lockers is not whats going to get it done
Jimmy, when he came in, did both of the recent things Schottenheimer is doing in the locker room and we all thought it was genius

So there was this QB and CB who walked into their Locker Room, and in the middle of it was a ping pong table....just sayin' the middle of a floor may not be the best place for it

Cross training my good fellows. Cross training.

And I bet some sort of "team building" thing by some suit.

What about the uncrustables table??? Sounds like they love those too!

Not sure why this is even an issue. Who cares. Good competitive fun in a locker room full of athletes.

Yeah, but Flunky has to do something to create the illusion he's in charge. Focus on interior decorating, although he surely had to get Jerry's approval on that, too.

It’s easy now but when those losses start to pile up is when we will learn the most about his influence and impact
Yeah, I hope I'm wrong. But I'm rarely wrong about coaches. We shall see. This is a gimmick just like when an employer does it.

Well you obviously don’t know much about team dynamics or building a winning culture. Begin your education on the subject by researching what “Pounding the Rock” is all about.

I mean he's trying. I'm not a fan of the hire but I can respect and commend him for trying something different then the same ol' thing. Even if it may be considered "corny" or full of sports cliche's........I sat here year after year and watch Mike do the same thing over and over again and the GM has been doing it for 30 years....
... oh man, after the GB debacle. I lost every ounce of faith in McCarthy.

So yeah, Shotty trying something different is alright in my book. Jerry & Co went out and put a team together for him.

All we can do, is watch season play out. Im thinking of going to Oxnard this year. I'm 3 hrs away. Might bring them luck..............lol...:)...

I blame Jerry for hiring McCarthy and not firing him after GB. And then he came in the next season and did the same exact thing. He had injuries, I get it, but man, he didn't switch anything up.
