@toddarcher: Here at the NFL combine, the Cowboys have meetings with almost all of the agents of their prospective free agents. I've been able to learn that the Cowboys have met or will meet with the agents for Barry Church, Morris Claiborne, Darren McFadden, Terrance Williams and Brandon Carr. I'm sure there are others. But I think the Cowboys' focus will be on Church, McFadden, Carr and Claiborne. Do I expect them to get deals done with any of them before free agency begins? That would surprise me. The rumblings around the combine is Church could be priced out of the Cowboys' range. The thinking here is that either Carr or Claiborne will return but it's hard to see both. McFadden will draw interest from other teams but he likes it in Dallas and has a defined role. If he can get a bigger role with a contending team, then he might like that better. As with anything, it will come down to price. Considering the money available to free agents, it's just hard to do a deal this close to the market opening.

What's a better gig than a backup to Zeke on a super bowl contending team .... McFadden would be crazy to leave. He's not starting anywhere

Wonder how many of our FA's have the same agent, if any at all do.
This would be a plus if they do, and have a good working relationship with them.

Or same for other FA's they may look at, how many of our own players, signed as well,,have the same agent as to the player we may target.

Imagine how it will feel if we end up having to pay Church more than we were willing to offer Eric Weddle last year. We should not have let him go when he wanted to be a cowboy so badly.

I have a feeling the band is going to get back together and it's going on 9 city tour in the Fall. They going to play Freebird, Stairway to Heaven, Dream on, Sympathy for the Devil and the rest of their greatest hits.

The article said they would be meeting with Williams.

Yeah, Oops. Misread that, but Archer seems to think he isn't a priority?

I think Archer is on track with everyone but Church. I think Dallas will bring him back, but it's going to cost more than most fans think he's worth.

I agree that it's one or the other with Carr and Claiborne. Playingwise, the choice would be Claiborne, but Carr might get the deal because he isn't injury prone.

McFadden will come back and Morris will be released IMO. I'd prefer they just let Dunbar go, but I won't be surprised if he ends up with another 1-year deal.

I won't be surprised if Williams thinks his value is higher than what Dallas is willing to pay.

Nothing too groundbreaking here. Williams will be a quick check back with me conversation, which he won't even have to bother doing. Sounds like S, DE, WR and CB will all be needs in the draft. I wouldn't rule out a TE in the 1st if Howard or Njoku are available either.

There's another blurb in the other part of the article where he believes T-Will be outside of the Cowboys price range. A name to look out for Corradelle Patterson.

I'd go with :

Church 4 years =30 million
Carr 2 years = 8 million
McFadden 2 years =2.5 million
Claiborne 1 year =5 million(based on playing incentives)
Williams he's just out of the price range. We're going to get a comp pick for Leary and Williams possibly McClain .

We could fit those signings in and still have enough for 2 mid tier Free Agents. Maybe DWARE and a WR
