When you combine the data for the games #7 to #10 for all teams, it turns out that the Cowboys are #1 in points scored. They are #6 in total yardage. They are best scoring offense in the NFL at this particular point in time, starting from Dak's return.

When you look at the same data for games #2 to #6, when Cooper Rush was the starter, the Cowboys were ranked 19th in points scored and 27th in total yardage.

Points Allowed per Game Rankings

  • Week #7 -- Lions (#32)
  • Week #8 -- Bears (#27)
  • Week #9 -- Packers (#16)
  • Week #10 -- Vikings (#19)

We need to remember that it is not like the Cowboys were playing top #10 defenses the last 4 games.

The New York Giants will be the highest ranked team (based on points allowed) the Cowboys have played in 5 games and even they are only ranked #13.

Do you have the corresponding rankings for the defenses Cooper played vs. the defenses Dak has played?

Points Allowed per Game Rankings

  • Week #10 -- Vikings (#19)

We need to remember that it is not like the Cowboys were playing were playing top #10 defenses the last 4 games.

You beat me to it.

No agenda here either.

While I can see what you're saying......its worth noting what these actual rankings are. Packers WITH the 28 points the Cowboys scored against them only allow 22 points a game.

Vikings WITH the 40 points the Cowboys scored on them only allow 23 a game. Beard and Lions also give up 24 and 28 respectively. Hardly juggernauts for sure but the Cowboys won't face much better defenses in the league this year. There's no dominant defenses really wit the exception of a few.

I would say those rankings were significantly impacted by having to go against the Cowboys offense since they are the present ranks and not before playing the Cowboys.

This is not a precise evaluation of course. I concede that the strength of opponent does not make this an exact measurement but that is not the point.

Does anybody doubt a significant increase in offensive productivity since Dak's return?

Does anybody believe, today, that the Cowboys would have been better off staying with Cooper Rush?

Let’s see how that stat holds up when we face the Bucs or 49ers again in the playoffs if we make it. Pretty sure that top scoring offense falters to any defense ranked above 15th place

Great job presenting FACTS!!! But here's the part where the low IQ haters of the world will move the goal posts and claim "stats don't matter".

It's funny you mentioned that because the same Vikings team that Dak carved up....

Tua, Aaron Rodgers, Kyler Murray and Josh Allen couldn't do the same and they loss to. Last I checked, I was told all of those quarterbacks were better than Dak. I'll let you put your spin on it as to why these great quarterbacks fell to a team that we destroyed.

Every team has highly paid professionals and we beat the hell out of our last victims. It's funny how those lil rankings aren't pulled out for other teams.

Well it would help our team out if they don't commit 14 or 15 penalties against the 49ers in the playoffs again. I'm pretty sure teams don't win playoff games with that many penalties.

Kellen Moore offenses:
2021: #1 in yards
2022 part A: 4-1 record with Cooper Rush, make-shift oline and limited receivers
2022 part B: #1 in scoring when Dak returns

Coordinator of the year. Or is that Dan Quinn's award?

Are the Cowboys only #1 during the past 4 games because they padded their total with that 40 points against the Vikings?

Okay, let's say the score was lower, high 20's, we'll say 27-3.

The Cowboys would still be the #1 scoring offense during the past 4 games. That's how much they separated themselves from the rest of the offenses in this league.
