There has been a noticeable downturn.

LVE has taken a ton of (undeserved) abuse here. Yet, the numbers in his absence speak for themselves.

Combine that with an O-line in crisis, and you have a recipe for mediocrity...the soup served-up for the last couple of weeks.

What ever happened to just rushing yards per play..or ypg...is this new "EPA drop back success rate" a way to make your argument look good? Dumb.

Looked it up..expected points added..

so yea a dumb stat that makes no sense. Basically the same as PFF type crap. Give me PPG stats not... Expected points given up per qb drop back completion rate on throws 3 - 9 yards expected over average on QB's in top 15 % of passer rating ability's.

DUMB

They were reasonably decent against Miami, but they haven’t stopped much of anyone since Thanksgiving. Think for a moment about how many punts they’ve actually forced.

This is quintessential Dan Quinn. He pulls the same disappearing act every year. And I was excited when he was hired. @windward was right. Again. She’s always right.

So we are talking about 2 weeks? Could playing two of the better teams on the road have anything to do with that? Just the Bills game alone will have a heavy influence on the stats over 2 games, or even 3 games.

I think we should wait to see what happens next week against Detroit.

I think eexpect too much of the Cowboys defense. They either rush the passer or stop the run but they seem incapable of doing both. But missing Hankins, LVE and Diggs is going to make a difference.

This same exact thing happened last season when LVE and Hanky were out. When they returned for the playoffs the Defense played solid against the Bucs and Niners.

We forced 1 punt and had zero turnovers. Yeah we only allowed 1 TD and a 5 field goals but man this defense just cannot get stops when it matters.

YOU CAN'T BLAME ANYONE, one second the offense is on fire the defense sucks, and vice versa! There's never any consistency on this team!!!

Looks like the Eagles defense, but the narrative in that case is Dak is a legend..

Playing against horrible offenses and defenses allows the team to get up in scoring, meaning Quinn can be aggressive as the opposing team with its trash QBs are forced to try and play catch-up and they can force TOs. A lot of the throws that Bland returned for TDs were straight up awful throws.

The lack of sacks has been the most glaring weakness to me. And no thats not something we can attribute to Hankins being gone.

Team is avg 1 sack per game over the past month. They were at almost 3.5 per game prior..need to get back to what they do best, getting after the QB and taking the ball away.
