Stingley and Cooks return this week. Who knows. We still need to show up and play.

A little insulted by that spread, not even close to the biggest spread in NFL history. Biggest was in 2013 Broncos (-28) vs Jags
We should at least be -20.... :muttley:

We cover....
People have been talking about trap games all season but this one is it. Just stay healthy and get out with a win.
For every Cowboy's fan that lives in the Houston area, Please don't lose this game!
they may give up on a game but they wont give up vs Dallas
this is their superbowl probably so we gotta bring the A game
Take nothing for granted. This is the Texas Bowl. I want to see Dallas come out a little more ready to play than the way they started against the Colts.
Isn't this game is for the " Texas Governer's Cup" --played annually as a preseason game, when the four-season division rotation schedule matchup between the NFC East and the AFC South does not occur.

and to think Philly was a 13.5 point favorite and failed to cover the spread. 16.5 that is a tall task

Easy... take the under. Texans aren't the better team, but they are close in this case and will make it close.

Texans 20
Dallas 23
Agreed. This game is Texan's season
Halftime score DC 10 Hou 7
Final DC 26 Hou 14
No cover

That line is just based on what it would take for half of the bettors to take Houston. Nothing more. That's how Vegas always wins.

If I put my money on this, I'd take Houston.

I've been around the sun 55 times this Saturday and my wife got us tickets to the game Sunday for my first ever Cowboys game so they better not screw this up. Lol. So stoked. Fly out Friday and doing the Stadium tour Saturday morning then The Star in the afternoon followed by a dinner at one of the steakhouses in The Star.

This would be a trap game if the Texans were even remotely good or had had good games, but lost in tragic fashion. Nah, they're bad, like real bad.

Cowboys just need to focus on staying healthy and getting out of there with a win.
Dallas came out as if sleeping on the Colts. I don't think they make that mistake with the Texans, or the Jaguars.

Get a lead, blow them both out and put in the back ups the 4th quarter. Be rested for when the Eagles. come in for the 3rd game of a 3 game road trip for them.
Take the over
As a result of the NFL Week 13 outcomes__ the 3-10 Chicago Bears and the 1-10-1 Houston Texans are the first two teams that have officially been eliminated from playoff contention following the conclusion of the 2022 regular season.

I think Eagles can clinch a playoff spot with a win this week. Dallas with 2 wins can clinch a spot if I looked at it correctly.
With a win Dallas can eliminate about 4 or 5 more teams from any contention with them. 3 teams in the Bears and Lions and Rams are already out from any contention for a spot.
Need to eliminate 9 teams

I pick 9-12 games every week, and I spend way too much time trying to gather info on every game except for the Cowboys game. I’ve picked them every week since 2009. I’ll give up the points this week, but I don’t like it.

Cowboys win, 35-24

2021 NFL Champions Rams, and the Lions have not been matmatically eliminated yet.
But looking at the current playoff standings -----
LAR losing Thursday night and DET on Sunday will close the door on their very slim playoff hopes.
If on Sundays the 49ers, Giants, and Seahawks win their games (all at home)---Rams and Lions should be gone, along with the idle Packers -- and addtionally the Cardinals if they lose Monday night.
NFC South status -- despiteTampa Bay's win two nights ago, the division title is far from decided.
5-8 Atlanta and 4-9 New Orleans - both idle - along with 4-8 Carolina still have a shot if Bucs stumble down the stretch.

After 3 quarters played on Nov 3, 2022
Eagles 21
Texans 17

In other words: close.

Don't assume gimmie games in the NFL...ever. And its madness to assume a huge blow-out. Just don't do it.

I was referring to playoffs vs. Cowboys, not the playoffs overall.
Cowboys need to be better than 9 teams not counting the other division winners.

Rams, Bears, Lions are eliminated vs. Cowboys only. With a Cowboys win several other teams will be out vs. Cowboys only. But will still be in contention for the 7th WC spot.

A bit more of the gambling is going to Houston. I saw Dallas at -17 on Tuesday.

Texans aren’t good enough to trap us lol
The colts game worried me because they have talent but once we got rolling it was like an avalanche
I dont know, some teams including the cowboys have had epic let downs in the past. This is another dont take the cheese moment coach talked about, just focus on your job and get the W. Block out the noise :flagwave:
