RELEASED Cowboys have released cornerback Trevon Diggs

Diggs was going to the media trying to get on the field and im pretty sure the Cowboys DR's were saying his knee is not right... no sense in seeing him get hurt in this weeks meaningless game and being on the hook for it... they said fine we will release you and if you can sucker another team into letting you play then so be it..

I have to think that this situation got really ugly behind the scenes. And that at one point, Diggs must have treated the team with some sort of an injury lawsuit.

That’s why they made sure to wait until he was healthy enough to practice, then healthy enough to play, and then they immediately cut him.

I have 0 problem moving on from Diggs. He’s been subpar since he’s been paid. I do personally hate how this team runs this campaign on throwing shade on a player publicly to the point where you sour their worth. Is there any difference of holding on to him one more game and then looking what you can get for him in the offseason? Just another case of blaming someone else for failure instead of the GM/owner/messiah
This is just the final domino dropping in a push/trigger that started weeks if not, months ago.

This was possibly a case where weeks ago the secondary coaches Overstreet and Thompson were telling Eberflus we can't work with this guy anymore and he is a distraction in the room.

Matt went to have a chat with Brian, and Brian walked up to the front office. We are seeing the effects of a thought process now from the front office as they had to make sure there was no negative effects like an injury settlement, but waited to see how the cards played out in the season.

The die was struck on this decision probably weeks ago when a bunch of coaches couldn't stand it anymore. Especially during the period where they were hit by injuries, and Diggs was not reliable on the field, and possibly the lockerroom.

To bad, It wasnt eberjoke.
as for diggs,... injuries took a toll.

I think my primary problem is I don’t have an issue with this in a vacuum, I think it’s just in reality we have an awful player playing in an awful scheme and as of now only one is being reprimanded for it. Whatever. We’ll see Monday whether they’re actually serious about improving the defense or not if Eberflus is still employed. This is just the lowest hanging fruit to say they “did something”

No, Diggs is also a failure. He's not guilt free. He took his money, refused to rehab properly and quit on his team. Of course the FO made a mistake extending him, but he owns plenty of fault.
I have a different take on this.

Everyone has stripes and spots. They are what they are.

If you made a bad purchase that isn't something you blame on the seller. No matter how upset you are it is always a buyer beware world.

i think its for sure along those lines, he is going to the media trying to get on the field and im pretty sure the Cowboys DR were saying "That knee aint right"... they were like fine we will cut you and you can collect injury pay from some other sucker..
