Just shows you how much we dominated at the start of the season when healthy( and Atlanta game). Why using stats for arguments is beyond ridiculous.

Bar the Atlanta game cowboys have not played great offensive football lately. Just be glad the defense has shown up and we have played a majority of creame puff offenses this season

Several years ago the top tier offense put up stupid numbers against horrible teams and when the defense managed to hold great offenses to 20 points or less the offense put up a dud. Stats mean nothing in the long run or putting up another dud against an entire 3rd string eagles defense

That is, a misuse of statistics. This often occurs when a statistical argument asserts a falsehood. I think most of us are worried about Daks play than the whole totality of work by others involved. What I like to see is DAKS Stats against Rodgers, Brady, Murray. I think these stats may show a different story.

Despite Dak playing below average today, he was better than Murray and Brady.

We had the #1 offense in 2019 also.

We went 8-8 and lost games where our defense held teams to 12,13, and 17 points. We also lost to the lowly Jets.

If our #1 ranked offense would've done anything in those games we'd went 11-5 and easily made the playoffs.

That was only 2 seasons ago, so it should be fresh enough in your mind to know that stats can be misleading and misused to fit a narrative.

Passing yards: 3,851 (#4 in the NFL)
Rushing yards: 1,795 (#6 in the NFL)
Points: 401 (#2 in the NFL)
Points per game: 28.6 (#2 in the NFL)

That can’t be true. Dak is a back up quarterback, Cooper and Lamb are overrated, and the offensive line is garbage. At least that is what the trolls are saying.

In 2019 we put up big numbers against the worst teams in the league and did nothing against the good teams. That's why we finished 8-8.

In 2021 we started off really hot and have now looked horrible for basically 8 straight weeks. Thanks to good defensive play we've not fell apart. Those offensive rankings are living off those first 6 games.

SMH right back at you. Why? Because all you guys do is what I stated above. You point out that we have the number one offense in the NFL but everyone and I mean EVERYONE sees that our offense isn't clicking right now. So basically what you're stating is no different than when guys sit around the watercooler and talks about their favorite teams. Then there's the Cowboys fan that points out how many SB's the Cowboys have won as he puffs his chest out. Everyone rolls their eyes (including me) because the EVERYONE knows the Cowboys haven't done anything lately.

That's my point Ultron, we haven't done anything lately. Best offense in the regular season means nothing in January if we can't get it together. And, have we shown that we can get it together? Does this offense inspire confidence in you? Sure our D has looked good the last three games but look at the offenses that we've played those last 3 games. Yes, I am happy for the wins but I am very concerned about what we are going to do in the coming weeks. If you guys want to have the blinders on, then fine. To me, this team is no different than it's been for the last 20 years until it proves differently.
