Unless he is sucking up to Jerry I can’t see how that’s possible for now.

I will however say that I’m quite anxious to get a look at him on the field. For the first time in a long while, preseason is a must see deal.

Spann-Ford is their best blocker. Schoonmaker was good at Michigan, but he's been horrible with the Cowboys.

I agree if he goes to a team TE needy. He seems the type that needs to be in the starting position to play well and get better. When Ferg went down a couple of years ago he played fairly well.

Staying in front of defenders is a completely different task at the NFL level. While he is a tenacious blocker, he most likely lacks the agility to stay in front of NFL quality defenders. Has to engage the blocker before he can be tenacious.

He showed promise earlier on then kinda fizzled. I think expectations were high for him. He solid but he isn’t a star. Not positive he deserved a second contract early, but if memory serves…those of Ferg and Bland are team-friendly.

Should be traded.

I can see Schoonmaker being traded during TC for a later round pick. I had mentioned this pretty much all off season.
I doubt as high as a 5th, but if some team has injuries, it is possible. We do not have a 5th round pick, so that would be nice.
Maybe Jerry can fleece a team for a 4th.

Ferg got exposed. Read an article about it. Other teams saw that he fought so hard for extra yards, so they started ripping the ball out. He needs to learn when to go down.

I might describe him this way…..if he is your TE2 you’re probably doing ok.
