I actually wouldnt mind him in the 4th round if he makes it to one of our comp picks. I think losing O'Brien really messed him up. He looked great before that.

I think he's the 'anti-Goff'. He checks off all the boxes for size, arm strength, and measurables, but has none of the abilities to process information quickly, ball placement and accuracy, or touch on his passes that Goff has.

And pairing up a damaged goods quarterback with a coaching staff known for failure to coach quarterbacks and it looks like a horrible marriage to me.

You dont think losing his HC hurt him? He was a first rounder 3 years ago

Oh, no doubt that it did. But his struggles weren't simply tied to that. His shortcomings as a player showed themselves as well.

We had another player here last year - WR George Farmer - who reminds me of Hackenberg's pedigree too. A can't miss college player who missed. The tools and measurables were there with him too, but it just never came together.

I could see this kid become something if he actually ends up with quality QB coaches that can work on developing his talents.

So no to Dallas.

Kicking all of the QB tires, it seems.

Wentz, Goff, Lynch, Prescott, Hackenberg, etc

Multiple scenarios are being researched...as they should be

Of course, even as wide a range as these players are and where they will be drafted, people will try to read into each and every interview. lol

Also, throwing his head coach and offensive scheme under the bus since he declared himself eligible for the draft doesn't show a guy who is team first. It's a little thing that's a big thing, and no matter whether it's true or not, you don't articulate it.

And, for all of the small handophites out there, Hackenberg has a 9" hand.

He has PTSD, he can't do anything at the slightest hint of pressure.it's the David Carr syndrome.

Sounds like he'd fit right in with Garrett. He's always got an excuse for underachieving too.

Yeah, but he's not "skinny"!

Among my least favorite players in this draft. He crumbles under pressure. He's a pass rush watcher. Taking his eyes off his receivers when he feels pressure.

I may actually prefer Derp Prescott.

In other words, he is pretty much broken.

And he blames his coaches and teammates for his stock decline.

He has that "big school" thing going for him. Yet that experience has only shown he can't handle it, one of the worst major college QBs against that level of competition.

If there has been a case of a college freshman phenom crashing and burning like he did only to be resurrected in the NFL, I would love to know who that was.

Sounds to me O'Brien made him and he failed to progress beyond that.

I wonder how he would have panned out if the HC that recruited him would have stayed there for the full time that hack was there.

I like the idea that the Kid went to Penn State when many would have bailed out of the commitment after all of the stuff went down.

And I don't care if other's complain that he threw his coaches and other players under the bus because frankly he was being honest and anyone who likes someone to be honest knows that his Former HC and the one that came after that had different types of Offenses and Penn state after those sanctions and people walking away did not have the best talent surrounding him.

I don't know if he would pan out now after sitting and learning or not. He might be too shell shocked and happy feet now. But there are things there that should be able to help him get better than what he was at Penn state.

Not who I would care to draft but I won't crap on him because his circumstances at Penn State vs some players at other schools.
