I guess 25 years in the league you really do meet a lot of people
well really, it's not just Brian Schottenheimer he brings that, but he also what he brings over Eberflus he has long term ties to reach out and that how the dominoes start to fall in place..get the HC/DC in lace and let them, start building..

The holdup on OC must be contract details and maybe title /duties etc they seem to really want Klayton Adams, touted offensive line coach of the Arizona Cardinals, who underwent a formal interview with Cowboys' brass on Wednesday. Apparently they're working really hard to get this guy in the building I don't really know much about him but there seems to be a general Flickr of excitement with this new coaching staff so that's a good thing you know I went from completely breaking the Internet with the schottenheimer hire to comment down to at least more level headed reactions..lol

Hm recreating the bears defense? The bears were ranked 1 spot ahead of the cowboys.
Well First off let's not get it twisted Mike Zimmer if we're talking about last year's rankings that's not fair they literally had a record amount of injuries mostly on the defensive side in a year with a brand new defensive scheme and not much done in free agency Mike Zimmer was working with glue and duct tape trying to keep this thing together so that ranking is a little bit of a mirage it's an illusion this defense could have been a lot better and we don't need much more proof than when Parsons got back and was paired with overshone and started playing well people started like looking like what Mike Zimmer had plans for and then the injuries restart it again I mean they couldn't keep people on the field so your judgment's way off let's just stick to facts...

Just because they have a few from the bears, doesn't make them the bears ,he's also reaching out to who was with him in Indianapolis, which is a better barometer is when a guy was the actual defensive coordinator and he's a defensive coordinator again..
he gets to focus on that , I mean you guys forget how different it is to go from a coordinator position to head coach and back down but it happens people kind of wanted Robert Saleh here, but he did it he failed as a head coach now he's back with San Francisco Steve Wilkes and Sorenson now was with San Francisco failed with San Francisco and now they found jobs in other places it may be once wrung down but they get to focus back on what made them great in the first place..

I mean it's happened with guys like wade Phillips and the Ryan brothers they never were great head coaches, but they were really really great at their coordinator positions it happens all the time... So this is pretty normal coaching carousels the circle that brings all these coaches back around and they have to put their Staffs together the way they think they can be successful at their new title..

Don't get me started...we have a bunch of cats at the ranch. They have tougher skin than a bunch of you kittens around here....keep crying and meowing....JJ is listening.....
1. I am a dog guy
2. Don’t hate cats but don’t like them
3. I don’t cry over the Cowboys, I point out how absurd they have become
4. Jerry doesn’t listen to anything
5. Even homers have to see this franchise for what it’s become. Being honest about the situation is good.
6. This forum is cathartic for most fans so you should respect that instead of the “I am a better fan than you” stuff
7. Have a nice day

Pointing out things we already know and doing every chance you get? Unless, you can change something, it's just wasting time. You might enjoy being negative and throwing stones at our favorite team, but some don't like being dragged into the sewer. Many fans were being positive and trying to find a little silver lining in the coaching changes and then, you come in. Thanks for hijacking the thread and throwing to the dogs.
I do consider myself a better fan than you...
Have a crappy day....just the way you like it.

of course, when we're talking about pets that would be the case I'm not much of a cat guy but I believe he was probably talking about lions and tigers I don't think there's many dogs in this world that could match up with a lion or a tiger...just sayin LOL

now a lot of people's post they feel like people are crying ,whining, you know acting out like a toddlers with things we can't control ,
and I don't think this has become absurd at all, disappointing yes, disheartening yes, I don't agree with most of what Jerry Jones says or does but I don't make it absurd ,
the dude like you said he does listen but he doesn't react or make the changes fans want.... So they think he doesn't care but what he doesn't care is how you the fan base or me the fan base who are not football experts who don't own a professional football team especially 1 is all worldly and heavily criticized as the Dallas Cowboys, he don't believe you guys should be telling him how to run things, you don't understand ,because you're not there, you just don't agree with what he's done that doesn't make you an expert... That's what he's saying you all don't live in his shoes you don't realize that it's not just for family members running this franchise there's 1200 employees there are people like will mcclay and others with layers and layers of management before you even get to the players that help with these decisions he's not doing it on his own like a bozo a clown like you say he just says things that irritate us he likes to be in the spotlight in the media just talking all the time and yes it's annoying as hell... But that does not mean he doesn't care if you want absurd maybe you can check some of the percentage of teams that can't even get to where Jerry is you may not like that we're not moving in the playoffs but we are getting there more often than not their teams like the Browns since 1989 that hasn't even won a division dude seriously that would be absurd they're not winning at all you don't like that most of what Jerry says is hey we've been top six or top ten in regular season win percentage and we won divisions and we've been in the playoffs and that's how he's making excuses on why he knows best,
but it could be worse ,
some of these teams have done everything you've wanted Jerry to do, and they still can't even get to where the Dallas Cowboys have been recently, we're talking about the last 10 year give or take, these teams can't even find a quarterback ,they can't win in the regular season, they can't win divisions or get to the playoffs....
And yes these teams have fired a lot of coaches changed quarterbacks changed ownership have regular GMs, have non meddling owners, and yet they still can't figure it out..
and some of these teams have had so many top five draft seasons and still can't get the right mix, it's not that easy to find a winning blueprint yes, we would like Jerry to do more I don't want to hear that argument, we get it he needs to have better off seasons...... that doesn't make us absurd it makes us disappointing.. We are not even close to the worst franchise in the NFL or sports when it comes to wins and losses or playoff appearances and all that stuff , its the reason, we're still in prime time games, talked about on all media DAILY, its because the Cowboys are still winning enough to stay relative.
You get the frustration and like I said I'm not a Jerry Jones fan but I am a Cowboys fan,
so I got to stay as positive as possible and not treat this any more than a one-off yearly proposition it's a week to week in year proposition. if I keep it in the present it's easier to deal with...

People can crap on the Schottenheimer hire. But outside of Sorensen he has assembled a solid group.

Even Sorensen inherits 2 all pros so he won’t do any damage
I don't even see how you can consider that a bad hire this man is overqualified for the job he was hired by San Francisco who's supposed to have a great coaching staff correct they thought enough of him to make him the defensive coordinator he didn't do a very good job as a defensive coordinator but he has experience enough that had been the defensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers he's been a special teams coordinator before he may not have the name like fossil but this dude is going down one wrong to become the special coordinator and I see that as being a benefit to have a guy with that much experience on special teams now instead of defensive coordinator but he still brings a wealth of knowledge to the team this is about the team it's about the complete assembly of coaches they're gonna work together and they've all had experiences of where they've been promoted and then back demoted and maybe they're better now of where they're gonna be as they were from your memory...

I'm not sure how this coaching staff is going to do I don't know how this team is going to do most of it's going to hinge on assembling a strong roster we got to have better free agency, better draft ,and better luck,

because yes that's where it all went wrong in 2020 and it all went wrong in 2024 is the injuries there's a record amount of injuries at key positions and some of them were all at one position or two where they were completely wiped out and using practice squad players... so this is all going to be about the players and how they stay on the field and work well with the new coaching staff..

The best we can hope for is Jerry or the Jones family are finally listening to some of the criticism and they mentioned it maybe they'll do a little more in free agency they may not make giant splashes but maybe they're going to be a little smarter in the draft don't take any injured players don't take projects don't take needs and try to force a player into a position just because he's there on the board you need to go full BPA you need to rebuild this team in the new coaching staff's schemes...

So from top to bottom maybe they go out to prove that the Schottenheimer hire was good, by going out and giving him a better advantage with the offseason acquisitions and decision making for the roster.

And I thought I was being nice by wishing you a good day. Here’s a news flash for you…fans can actually do something. Hit Jerry in the wallet for once. It might actually work. Humiliating the Jones family by making that stadium a ghost town will effect the change that’s needed. Unless of course you are ready for another 30 years of the same garbage. I will also say the vast majority of fans here are negative at this point and that is a good thing in my opinion. This is a great franchise and fanbase that deserves better not the same crap that people like you try to spin up. Lastly, this is an opinion forum. Everyone’s entitled to one. Your opinion isn’t better than anyone else’s and I didn’t drag this into the sewer. Jerry did by making a mockery of the franchise.

Since he came aboard with Dallas I’ve posted Carl Lawson needs to return . Better version of Dante Fowler
Here is a link to a 1:12 minute video of Whitecotton talking about Lawson. Seems to have loved working with him in NY, and Lawson has expressed that he would want to come back to Dallas. With Whitecotton on board I would assume that interest would continue to be mutual.

News flash to you and left U.S. team is truly terrible and I mean really terrible for two or three years you're not even gonna make a dent in the attendance those who choose not to renew their seat licenses and season tickets they'll be somebody who's been looking forward to doing it for time and they may not be die hard cowboy fans but they're gonna buy those tickets the Dallas Cowboys last year still led the league in attendance and everyone here kept saying that all these little protests and the poster boards and the signs and the advertisements and the social media onslaught to tell people not to go to the games and hit Jerry where it hurts it didn't work..

By the way I have to ask you since you're posting in here mostly how many people in here do you think are licensed seat holders or season ticket holders I get the feeling there's not a lot of them you don't have to be a cowboy supporter and be a Jones supporter you don't have to go to games and buy gear just to be a diehard fan most of us already had gear, most of us go to a game occasionally ,but mostly what we do is support the logo ,the star, the history,

we don't care who the owner is we don't care who the head coach is we don't care who the quarterback is, and we don't put conditions on our fandom; we don't say you better do this, or you better be winning or you better get to a championship game in order to keep my attention and be a fan... And I'm not accusing you of this but when you put conditions on being a fan it doesn't sound like you're a true blue fan like a die hard fan not of this team you literally are stopping your fandom at 1996 or 1989 and you're a Tom Landry you're a fan and you've decided to not be man so you're gonna come in and tell us how we should be fans you don't like that anymore than us telling you how to be a fan but I can tell you this most die hard fans are gonna continue to support the Dallas Cowboys that does not mean we agree with the Jones family or support the Jones family..

This is total BS (at least what I could actually make sense of), and people can be fans in different ways. No one has to conform to your idea of what a fan is. If people are dissatisfied with the product and actions of ownership they are more than welcome to voice their opinions, and doing so doesnt make anyone more or less of a fan of the Cowboys. Outside of a couple trolls on this board we are all Cowboy fans, and wouldnt be wasting hours every week on this forum if we were not.

I'm a Cowboy fan through and through. I'm still not going to spend a $1 this year on tickets or Cowboys merch, nor did I last year. Does that mean I'm not supporting or rooting for the Cowboys?

What have fans done so far? Other than just walking away, you can't do anything. I get the disappointment and the criticism, but it's a game that is meant to enjoy....I don't like people talking crap about my team...I can't walk into a bar and shut them up, like I could in my younger days....I still don't like it. Criticism and whining are two different things. Don't like it, fine....constantly talking hate and ruining the game for those that are just trying to have fun and get some insights on the zone....not so good. Have a wonderful day.

That’s great news thanks for update . Cowboys can certainly use Lawson
