Drew Pearson? He is simply not one of the greatest WRs of all time. He does not crack top 50 in ANY statistical category. That's not a snub. That's good voting.

The HOF will never have full credibility until the man has a bust in Canton. It is a shame what they did to the man, knowing full well he was sick and could have put him in before his death. He changed the way pro football is played and he gets no credit for it from anyone other than Cowboys fans. It's a blight on the league and will be until they correct it.

**** the stats! Stats are for *****s, they dont tell the story.

yes, the stats are just part of the picture. but honestly, Drew was not a HoF type receiver. That's like saying Keenan McCardell or Terry Glenn or Musim Muhammed should be in the hall.

You lose credibility when you act like such a homer.

I wish he could have been alive to get inducted. He did pass away correct? He was the original Randy Moss and was the reason the zone defense was invented.

He was a three time All-Pro and three time Pro Bowler. He was also one of the biggest reason, Roger Staubach had the success he did. Drew was Mr. Clutch, just as much as Michael Irvin was. But remember, Landry coached him in an era that was much different from today. He had a lot of other responsibilities.

Did Drew have a HOF career? If I had to vote I would say yes. However, there are players that should be in before him, such as Art Monk and Bob Hayes.

Bob Hayes

Age: 59

big-play wide receiver with world-class speed, who was a star with the Dallas Cowboys in the late 1960's and remains the only person to win an Olympic gold medal and a Super Bowl title; nicknamed "Bullet"; once considered "the fastest man alive," he won a gold medal in the 100-meter race at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, tying the then world record of 10.05 seconds; a seventh round pick of the Cowboys in 1965, his blazing speed altered NFL defenses forever, forcing them from man-to-man coverage into new zone schemes; played receiver and returned punts and kicks for 11 seasons; caught 371 passes for 7,414 yards (a career average of 20 yards per catch) and 71 touchdowns; won Super Bowl title with Dallas in 1972; three-time Pro Bowler; his battle with drug and alcohol addiction after his retirement in 1975 reached its lowest point in 1979 when he served 10 months in federal prison for selling narcotics; became the 11th member of the Cowboys "Ring of Fame" in 2001; recently diagnosed with liver and kidney ailments as well as prostate cancer. The cause of his death was not given.

Died: Jacksonville, Fla., Sept. 18

We can only hope the HOF corrects this mistake asap.

3-time ProBowler? That's a good player. That is not an HoF player. Best of the Best.

In my book the Best of the Best should be in the Pro Bowl more often than not. different era or not -- his peers voted him to the pro bowl only 3 times. that tells you alot about how good he was right there.

so its mostly about stats? look how far down Roger is, and then go considerably below that to find Joe Namath

as for wide receivers how far down is Swann?
