but it still counts towards the final record and impact to making/missing playoffs as a wild card, which I think the route we have to go to get to playoffsAnyone can win in the first couple of weeks. Especially week 1. The first week tells you absolutely nothing about how good teams are going to be moving forward. It's like a full contact preseason game that counts. Teams are completely different 4-5 weeks later.
revenge game though 2 point loss last year and no one here thought we had a shot. maybe our kicker can make his kicks this time..maybe we find a run game for balance.Great opener. Another game 1 nail biter for the Cowboys. This time we will be at home.
Nobody wants to admit it but Dak outplayed Brady that game as well. Those mysterious holding calls on Tyron and Connor kept us from running the clock out. Well coached game by KM as well.revenge game though 2 point loss last year and no one here thought we had a shot. maybe our kicker can make his kicks this time..maybe we find a run game for balance.
Brady and his glorious return to the NFL. The league had to have us open again against TB and TB. The ratings are gonna be off the hook and they know that. Lets see if they let us play or flag the molly out of us!We’ve gotten blatantly robbed in each of our last 2 openers, both on national TV.
Michael Gallup “OPI”, Chris Godwin “no OPI”.
Let’s see how the rules are bent to **** us for a 3rd straight year!

oh, I get it. I am not judging. just saying we will start slow this year.Absolutely. Every game is important in the NFL. My only point was, don't judge the team as a result of week 1. In many cases it takes more than one week before a team starts to become comfortable.
In today's game they baby these players. Tom Landry had these players ready week 1. What we saw in week 1, we saw in week 10. Dallas would always put on a show and start off really good for the first 5-6 games of the season. That is until teams caught up.

You were born to be a MountaineerCowboy fan.
I agree. I think we start 0-2. we are just not finely honed team. lots of variables. I wouldn't be surprised if we finish 8-9 (which then this forum will explode with Dak threads as if not already). and if everything goes perfect then we are 10-7. we hope the D makes up for it, but did we really improve on D? or we are hoping Parsons takes a big leap in second season. Fowler vs. Gregory....and do we think Ridgeway is the answer in the middle against the run. LVE Is back (ugh). yeah, I don't see the defense to be that much better.Start slow? We're not going to be very competitive this season is my opinion. We'll be around 8-9 wins is my guess. I hope I'm wrong, but everything points to it. Without Cooper and Gallup for half the season, what does our offense have? Hope our D makes up for it?
We were the number 1 offense last year, but we were not the best offensive team. We played well against the Patriots, and if you include week1, the Bucs. But other than that our offense sucked against any team that wasn't absolute garbage. We're worse offensively this season.
And we have a rookie kicker. The Dallas Cowboys have opened as 2.5-point underdogs for their Week 1 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Give the points...........as Redzone Dak friendly will fall an FG short once again!
Besides the obvious, I'll take the 1-1 to start the season, with regards to the opponents.Knowing the Cowboys they’ll win convincingly only to come out flat in week 2 and get their butts handed to them. Lol
