Was surprised to see this morning that the Cowboys in last (16th) place in the NFC (they lose the tie-breakers to the 49ers and the Lions) but are just two games out of 1st and coming strong.

Does anybody else feel like this is the ultimate "bizarro" season for the Cowboys?

I must be a sucker for emotional punishment because I give them greater than a 50/50 shot of winning the division.

Sunday's win makes me feel happy and sad. Sad because it serves as a reminder of how this season could have gone if Romo had not been hurt. We'd probably be 8-2 or 7-3 and in control of this weak division. Instead, we have to hope and pray that Dallas can run the table and the other teams in the division finish average at best.

I don't know about the greater than 50/50 shot, but they do have a shot if they can get to 8 wins without losing to the Commanders.

That's nice and all but Dallas has to win out and depend on a couple of losses by god only knows who when its all said and done............tie-breakers........alignment of the sun to moon.........yeah, there's a chance.

the rest of the NFC "least" better be happy that Romo got hurt-cause we would be sitting pretty right now. We might be the third seed behind the Cards and Packers, but we would have the division by the neck.

I'd like to say coming strong but one win after 8 st8 losses probably doesn't qualify.

No telling the "butterfly effect" if the broken collarbone play never happened. We assume that Romo plays all year and we are something like 8-2 right now. We rarely assume a worse scenario in these instances but there very well could have been. Romo could have taken a worse hit/injury in another game that took him out all season.

Bottom line this team should have been able to scrape together a win or two in his absence but they completely failed and here we are.

If things play out the way they have been up until now, 7-9 or 8-8 could win the division. We are still in this, but there is little room for error.

Coming strong? We've won 3 games.

Beating us has cursed Philly. Look at last year as well. It's crazy, but virtually we can go from 16th to 4th in a 2 game swing.
