I'll be in Hawaii for xmas for like 2 weeks. so I couldn't find this anywhere on the web, is it true that 1pm EST games that come on TV at 10am on the west coast come on even earlier in Hawaii? am I going to have to wake up at 6am to watch the cowboys play detroit?

You'll have to get up by 8 to watch the Boys play, perhaps even earlier if you need to find a sports bar. The Cowboys Eagles game on Xmas will be on at Noon.

Lol, I'm pretty much conditioned to it. When I was in Cali I woke up at seven and didn't know what to do with myself for three hours.

Yeah, but that's the only "bad news" (just about everything else is the "good news" when you are in Hawaii).

If you're normally on the east coast, Hawaii is a 6 hour time difference. Pre-game shows start at 6am, games start at 7am. It's okay though, because you'll wake up then anyway. One of the neatest things about going to Hawaii is even if you're a slacker who rolls out of bed at 11am, you'll wake up bright eyed at 6am because of the jet lag.

You might even be able to get in a run on the beach and a nice breakfast before the game if you're feeling adventurous. ;)

I used to stay at the Red Lion Inn, in San Jose, CA for work. They had an all you can eat (and drink, mimosa, bloody mary) brunch buffet on Sundays.

Being from the East coast it was kinda weird at first watching games at 10 am. This buffet closed at 3PM so it was 5 glorious hours of food and drink watching football.

Trust me. If that is your first day in Hawaii after flying from the mainland you'll be up well before 8AM.

Actually getting up and watching the games in the morning is pretty cool. I'm kinda like a kid on Christmas morning getting up to watch some football on Sunday Mornings...

Enjoy the islands.....it truly is paradise out here

Pretty much roll out of bed about 6ish, on goes the coffee, On goes the TV for the pre-game. Hawaii does not have daylight saveing, so the games now start at 8.00 am. 2nd game at 11.00 or 11.15 am. If its a game I can watch at home, I stay in (tend to get alittle loud during Cowboy games) If I have to go to one of the sports bars, there is a couple right off the beach, 5 minutes from my house. Gives you the afternoon to do whatever you want - its very cool living here!

I remember going to the Pro Bowl game when I used to live in Hawaii, the '97 Pro Bowl I think

got Junior Seau and Willie Roaf's autographs, well my dad did on the flight he shared w/ some of them, and I met Reggie White on the beach the week of the Pro Bowl, didn't give us an autograph, cuz he was w/ his family

but the damnest thing, I lost the Seau and Roaf autographs in the period of my move to Washington state :(

fun times though
