Cowboys in talks W/Cole Beasley

Smart move! Should've done this with Murray in 2012 when the price was low.

3/6m, cap hit of 1.5m this year, 2m next

Right. He is going to sign for less annually that the RFA tender would be for 2015. And he's going to give up two years of UFA too!

3/9 mill is likely more where this is going

That's because you were suggesting some big numbers in terms of a contract for him. IIRC, you suggested 3 years, 12M.

No i wasnt i suggested 4 yrs 12mil. with his first yr being a cap hit of 1.5mil. But i did say they could work out a 3 yr deal too, but i see 4 yrs.

That's Awesome!!!! Good guy?

Absolutely. He played QB in high school. His dad was our Head Coach. He has been raised up around football. That's why he's good at getting open. Not just because he's quick; but because he's a student of the game. He walked in from middle school as a freshman and knew more about football than any of us did, and more than some of the coaches too. He single handedly won us some games because of his elusiveness and reading the defense.

Fantastic insight! Thank you for the share! Hope he stays with us for a long while.

o_O If that happened, I would go over to Valley Ranch and start throwing tomatoes at the buildings
I'll go to Aldi and get some for you.
The size and weight are just perfect for throwing. And the cost.... Buy more.....

Dallas close to getting a 4 year deal done with Beasley, I love it. Last 8 games of the season he became a bigger part of this offense and has shown himself to be a very dependable slot WR.

Shefters reporting there's a photo involving Cole and some type of bomb in London. Rumors that it's over 9000 times worse than the Ray Rice tape. Fingers crossed this doesn't break.
Well, Shefty has been working on it for 9 months

We need this guy, turned out to be great fit of the offense as well as the team.
Going into last year OTA's, I thought he was decent but possibly replaceable. I said he was on the bubble with all the WR's we had that looked like they could push him off the roster, unless we kept 6 WR's.
Man I am glad he proved me wrong. He is Romo's decoy blanket, for lack of better words. When we need that 1st down, or a big play and everyone thinks Romo will go to Dez or Witten, here comes Beasley making that big play, to move the chains, or as last year, getting some TD's. Then when they look to cover him, he goes to Witten.

I look for Dallas utilize him more going into next season. He also showed a lot of toughness on the field, taking some brutal shots and bouncing right back up afterwards.
