I can blame them for not replacing Sanders with someone else. Doesn't have to be someone on the roster.

Grab someone off another team's practice squad if the ones they have on the Cowboys PS are not ready.

Cowboys weren't sold on Rico last year until they figured there was nothing to lose but to play him. The likelihood this team makes it to the SB/Championship game is quite low so why not see what Blue can do. There's nothing to lose, only potential upside to gain

there were hints of this before the draft and as usual Jethro and company say we can fix him
we can rebuild him
