Just a numbers game. We already have 10 defensive lineman active, and we already have 3 to 4 guys active for special teams purposes only that likely won't play many (if any) offensive or defensive snaps (Speed, Bell, Clark and maybe even Demercado). He's a good depth piece in case we have injuries on the defensive line or to the core special teasers.

I do think it now seems likely that we see Turp and Luepke out of the backfield more than we thought we would in the first ~6 weeks of the season.
