From the rumors I saw at the time from Cowboys insiders, I think it is highly likely he would have been cut if John Stephens Jr didn’t get injured in the preseason. JSJ was supposedly going to make the 53.

McKeon is a way better run blocker than Hendershot. Cowboys already have 2 good pass-catching TEs in Ferguson and Schoonmaker. Do they really need a 3rd pass-catching TE, or is it better to keep the more reliable run-blocking McKeon who can also catch passes if needed?

FYI, I personally like Hendershot, but he struggles in run blocking.

McKeon is a way better run blocker than Hendershot. Cowboys already have 2 good pass-catching TEs in Ferguson and Schoonmaker. Do they really need a 3rd pass-catching TE, or is it better to keep the more reliable run-blocking McKeon who can also catch passes if needed?

I didnt say I saw Travis Kelce play, but for a Rookie coming in expected to do little.... yea, the young guy showed he can clearly play.

What has Tyrus Wheat done? Is he even needed?

He's played on all special teams every week he's been active. Also offers some position flex as he played both DE and off-ball LB this preseason. Dallas can do without him but would need someone else to take those ST snaps.
