I doubt anything will happen with Chad, but there's a rumor, so ESPN MUST cover it and act like the deal will get done tomorrow.

I heard this too.

Interesting that Darren Woodson on ESPN Live said that Johnson's best fit is Washington.

I would have thought that his best sit was Philly. But I have to be honest, Johnson and Randle El on the outsides, Moss in the slot, cooley working the middle, and Portis in the backfield... whew... we will need some defense against that.

I don't think we need another potential sideline whiner/pouter/screamer! I think T.O. has done better, alot better, but he still has his moments at times that make things look uncomfortable on the sidelines. I think adding Ocho, though talented, would be a mistake. It would be like Romo having to wives: one yellin' at him to do the dishes and the other yellin' at him to take out the trash. Then he'd have to go home to Jess and listen to her gripe!

Send him to Utah for some training?

hopefully this rumor is a ploy to get Washington and Philly to overbid for his services. I say pass on Chadwick Johnson.

It would be funny however that the Commander fans laughed at the Cleveland trade especially when Cleveland kept winning if we used that pick to get Johnson.

I heard someone from Bengalsinsider.com say that it would cost the Bengals 8 mil to cut him.....

How would that impact them on a trade?

So chad johnson is going to be this years "have to get player".

Please.

Make it stop now. He is not coming here, nor should he. We dont need his attitude on this team, he is a disaster waiting to happen.

if he gets traded which I doubt, marvin lewis is not stupid he can get more out of washington than anyone. Daniel Snyder hates that Owens is here and would love nothing more than to have his own Owens.

Not going to talk about Chad, but I will say that at last year's Draft I thought Michael Smith was the best informed person reporting that day by far. IMO he has established himself as a solid football source.

Well, they still need a quarterback...and maybe a head coach, too. :D

The Bengals still have to be willing to take an 8 Million dollar cap hit.

Maybe Woodson knows something(Skins getting a real QB?) because as long as Campbell is QB... that team is not a WR-favored team. It took him what 7 or 8 games last year to throw a TD to a WR??

Once again the Skins are putting together/adding to the roster the wrong way. No suprise though.

We likely are NOT interested in Ocho Cinco. That info only got leaked to help drive up the price the Redskirts will have to pay to get him thinking they are in a bidding war with us.

First of all I don't know that any of this speculation and talk is worthwhile, for any team or fans, cause the Bengals FO has made it quite clear that they are NOT INTERESTED in trading Chad Johnson. They've made it clear he's not on the trading block, they're not going to trade him, and the only reason the rumors persist is cause Chad and his Agent are working to try and force the move, with zero leverage to do so.

Cincy is not likely interested, at all, in taking a 8-9 million dollar cap hit in order to appease him and ship him out. He'll whine for a while longer, realize he's going no where, and by the middle of the summer he'll be telling you how happy he is to be still with Cincy.

Washington can be interested all they want but they've got no room, at all, to make this move. They have to cut 25 million, or more, off their cap already, as is, just to get even with the cap and then they've got to cut off more to be able to sign any of their draft picks. They've got no wiggle room to make any real move for Chad so this is nothing more than a rumor, most likely, to try and drive the price up for the Cowboys, or Eagles, if they were really in the hunt for Chad.

Which, as has been stated numerous times by the Cincy FO, is simply not the case. no one is actually in the hunt for Chad cause theyre is no real hunt for Chad.

Or maybe the interest in Chad Johnson is a negotiating ploy to smoke Roy Williams out of Detroit.

Cowboys: let's put it out there that we're interested in Chad.

Lions: Uh oh. The Cowboys are looking at Chad. Maybe we need to start talking seriously with them about Roy Williams since they have options.

Possibly...but doubtful. The latest out of the Detriot area is that the FO is making it clear that they'll listen to offers for Roy but it will take OVERWHELMING value, for Detriot, for them to actually move him. I've got the feeling that Detriot has no real intent to move him, instead keeping him and trying to get him to resign all season long.
