On page 10 of the new sporting news there is a column that says...

Draft Dish: Rumors and rumblings with four months left on the clock

It then goes on to say, "the Cowboys are doing their due diligence on suspended Oklahoma State WR Dez Bryant, who would fill a need for a return specialist and give the team another game-breaker at wideout."

In my opinion there is no way we can draft a receiver in the 1st round since we have so much $ invested into that position already. (well as soon as sign Miles to his nice deal)

IDK you could find a way. Trade Crayton to Mia for a 3rd-4th. Have Roy win over the fans by restructing his deal.

I dont think its likely he falls though. Rarely do no WR's go round 1, and who would go ahead of him?

I doubt that Bryant will fall to the Cowboys' first pick, and I certainly don't see WR as that high a priority...

However, I think Dez is an exciting talent, and I wouldn't be too upset if the Boys went with him...

I agree with you and Silver. He is most likely a top 15 player.

There is a lot of legit players in this draft who just so happen to be awesome returners too if thats a route we're looking at.

I still think this is the year that Dallas trades up.

Only player I would trade up for is Earl Thomas.

If we were top 10 in picks vs 25th it would make a world of difference.

I'd love to get Dez, but there's no way he'll fall to us. Wishful thinking.

Id trade up for McClain or Haden too.

Both players would add to our strength.

Who are you cutting or benching drafting one of those guys?

now that we'll be hosting at least one playoff game Jerry gets at least one more big payday which will help him afford to pay Miles Austin the dollar he deserves. It may also enable him to pay the 21 mil or so to dump Roy or trade him and move up. Dez would be exciting, now way he would return kicks, he'll be too valuable at WR. I think we could stand pat at the 32 pick and take Damian Williams. Austin is our homerun hitter already and Crayton/Witten is our possession WR. If we trade up, i'd hope it'd be for a LT or a guy like Thomas, Haden, or McClain because they were inexplicably falling to the late first. We could also go with Iupati at 32. I just hope we don't stink up the draft like last year. There are a lot of good options this draft and there will be really good players throughout day one and into day 2.

we arnt allowed to trade up?

Good Lord, who are we? The Lions? We don't need 7 top WRs! :) I'd put $100 on us NOT having Dez this time next year. He will NOT fall that far and we will NOT trade up.

If we are to trade up for a top shelf player I hope it's for a clear franchise LT.

I think we need another explosive receiver but the funds may not be right for it.

If Austin were to go down then we lose our explosiveness. We can't afford for that to happen ever with this team.

If im Dallas im doing my best to come out of this draft with another dynamic threat for the Offense so that way if we lose an Austin we have guys behind him who can be explosive.

If Roy would just play up to his abilities than this wouldn't even be an issue for me.

Right now our pick can be as low as 27th and as high as 32nd. It's going to be hard to move way up especially since we only have 6 picks this year. Still, I expect us to move up and grab a "name" player but it'll be in the 20-25 range.

Agreed. I do think that the "next explosive WR" is already on our roster, and his name is Ogletree. Another training camp and some game play early next year and we'll be set.

I keep reading that Doug free is our next LT but I'm not convinced of it. But for Free stepping in and doing a hell of a job this year, we'd be screwed (like last year and the whole Procter/McQuistan catastrophe).

I'd like to protect our franchise QB and find a stud ILB for Brooking to groom.

I just came.

I think the 'Skins have the #4 now. If they take Berry I'm going to puke. Hopefully they go O-line or something.
