Cowboys interview Bears Secondary Coach Andre Curtis for DC

From the NFL website:

In 2021, the NFL approved changes requiring every team to interview at least two external minority candidates in person for open head coach and GM positions and at least two external minority candidates — in person or virtual — for a coordinator job
Thank you for the clarity.
He coached with Flus last year and Schotty in Seattle, so I'm assuming he joins the team regardless of the title
Sounds like a DB coach interview in disguise.

The Cowboys interview with Andre Curtis for defensive coordinator satisfies the Rooney Rule. All signs continue to point to Matt Eberflus as DC. Look for Curtis to be on staff as defensive backs coach. Curtis was on Eberflus’ staff in Chicago and worked with Brian Schottenheimer in Seattle

Curtis is a massive upgrade over Al Harris. Who I always thought was responsible for the failed careers of Kelvin Joseph and Nahshon Wright.

Hopefully it's not too late to flush the Harris out of Caelen Carson or you can add him to the list of major talents that guy ruined.

Correct. Werder came out after and said he jumped the gun. Jane Slater said it’s nothing official.

He likely signs after the weekend. They likely are just following the Rooney Rule.

I don’t think you’ll find a better DC than Eberflus at this point.
Or it is just Jerral working at an 82 year old pace.
