Among those NFL stars who have shown interest are Parsons, Kansas City Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes, Cincinnati Bengals' Joe Burrow, and Miami Dolphins' Tyreek Hill.

Commissioner Roger Goodell is also interested in NFL players competing, but understands the varying viewpoints and has tabled the discussion to a later date.

Goodell may not be able to ignore the global exposure the Games would provide, calling them a "great possibility" to grow the sport and league.

From a marketing perspective, we imagine Jerry has no arguments with this reality either.

Goodell aims to have a definitive answer in the next two months, but for now, Jerry Jones is on board with some of the NFL's brightest stars representing the United States on home soil in the 2028 Olympics.

AS we have seen non contact injuries are common enough how would KC or Cincy feel if thier QBs blew out their knee playing flag football in the olympics. Now on to the games there is almost zero reasons the US should not be bringing home the gold in this event for 2-3 Olympic cycles.

Flag Football shouldn’t even be in the Olympics in the first place. I don’t really see a need for NFL players to compete in it. It’s not the same game.

I don't want to see NFL players taking spots from those flag football players. Let them have their moment.

Pretty sure our Colleges could bring home for decades.

Other teams can send their players and risk injuries. It's a firm no for me for Cowboys doing it. We have enough injury problems.

Exactly. I'd like to see the U.S.A. team comprised of players who either couldn't make the NFL, or just don't want to play tackle.

On second thought, let Diggs play.

We should send college athletes who weren't drafted or signed by teams or recently retired or players close to retiring. I can't see them not winning with that group of athletes. The last thing I'd want to see are top NFL players, prospects get injured playing for fun.

Should be for college players not on an NFL team, and UFL type players.
semi professional players. Is there a flag football league, a very well organized one. Let those players compete for a spot. Such as a swim team, the gymnastics team.

Maybe some practice squad type players. At least get them some exposure to some type of football.

But not the top NFL players. Injuries waiting to happen.
Look at top players, that go done with non contact injuries during a walk through type practice.

I say let whoever wants to play play. I think these guys are just talking I don’t think realistically these guys want to play. Can’t even get them to show up to a Pro Bowl or training camp.

If you’re a high level college player with an NIL deal and the potential to play in the league, you risking injury to play Olympic flag?

Anyone remember the name Robert Edwards? He was an NE RB that was playing in the Pro bowl rookie flag football game and he blew out is ACL, MCL and PCL essentially ended his career before it got going.

If you’re an NFL owner would you want to see your investments risking injury for a sport that does nothing for your team.

I think recently retired guys should be playing. If active NFL players want to play then maybe Roger should set something up where teams get cap relief if a player gets hurt. Easy for him to say NFL guys should play when it’s not his investment at risk.

I agree.
I think we'll ultimately see guys from the UFL and NFL hopefuls be the guys who actually show up outside of the actual flag football players.

Sure, someone like Tyreek Hill may do it, unless he gets arrested by then.

Yeah Tyreek with what he keeps doing off the field….he may have his chance though I don’t know if they want him representing this country with what he’s accused of.

I am sure they could but if the NFL wants to get involved to market worldwide I am sure they will want their players there to be the "Salesmen"
