you think friedo is lying? He has no reason to.

And in case guys dont know who friedo is, he is a guy that will defend jerry and owens to the bitter end.

for him to say this stuff is very telling of the problems on this team.

And its only going to get worse.

Now some other nfl disciplanarian has to try and once again fix this mess. I dont see anyone capable of it who would work under the meddling jerry jones.

This franchise will never when another SB with Jerry as GM. How the hell can you hire OC before hiring the HC?? How the hell are you not going to give the HC control in assembling his own staff and make personal decisions. Jerry does not get it, I know Bonobo apes that are smarter than him. As long as Jerry is in control this will be a on going cycle.

Sounds like some of these players think playing in a playoff game is taking a pay cut with the playoff payouts and it's not worth their time.

Can we keep this thread alive for the next 12 months? This says it all.

We fans care a whole hell of alot more than they do.

All signs point to a Creme Puff Team in 2009.

What kind of NFL Head Coach says that his Team" needs time away from football to sort things out"?

What an extra Soft-n-Fluffy way to start the Off-Season Marshmellow Man... Camp CupCake won't help!

Yup..

You know things are terribly wrong when Friedo pie is reporting things like this.

Wanna start to guess.

I'll start it off with Pacman Jones, guy is a total joke. I can see him running his mouth on the ride home. He isn't even that good, players embrace him because he has that allure of being a thug or something. Shame he was dragging Bennett an Hamlin around with him.

For the conditions Pacman played under this year I am amazed he even played as well as he did.

If he could actually get himself to play under normal circumstances he could be awesome.

I saw a confused guy with a low football IQ. Guy with explosive return skills and average skill set at corner.

I don't ever think I can see Pacman being an awesome corner, he never was, and he never will be.

There are many many factors that make this team what it is today. The team is soft as hell. You need tough competitors to be consistent. Guys at almost every position are soft on this team.

Jerrah took too many fliers on guys with character concerns. Pacman, Tank, Roy Williams, TO, ..... bad character guys wear on teammates and tear at the fabric of the team. Sure TO put up great numbers and the media often blows his stories out of proportion, but he still has questionable character, often putting his own glory ahead of the team.

The entire coaching staff got outcoached this year. The special teams were absolutely laughable. Once the league figured out Garrett, it was over for the offense. They adjusted to him and he couldn't counter. Do you mean to tell me the Cowboys can't get TO open? The Eagles found ways to get him open the whole time he was in Philly. Our Defense was sorry all year too.. I'll say that had more to do with a lack of toughness versus coaching. Once Wade took over there, they played better, but were still gutless.

Teams take on the identity of their leaders, and that's not a good thing in Big D... Jerry really needs to swallow his pride and do something because things will be no different next year. As long as the inmates run the asylum, we'll be an average team.

I hate the majority of the players on this team as they are straight up losers.

I want them gone. I don't see how it's possible to look forward to next season.

I've never been this much in doubt over the future of the Cowboys.

I think we might actually have to wait for Jerry to die and his son take over for this crap to end. Really pathetic, Jerry. PATHETIC. Nobody has the balls to tell him he knows nothing about football, and has destroyed the Cowboys, so we must wait for him to pass away like a dictator of some third world country.

As far as the credibility of this report goes, as far as I'm concerned, the media members in Dallas have a heckuva lot more cred built up than this sorry team.

So if reports are circulating that this is true, yeah, I believe it. Wouldn't put it past our players at all.

Just look at Romo yesterday, able to put the whole damn thing into philosophical perspective less than 20 minutes after losing the game. And Owens, minutes after the loss himself, able to crack a wide grin as he talks about how the Eagles would love to take him back if they could.

It's no wonder we lost. But come training camp, the HBO cameras will probably return, and so too will the personalities, and all the empty talk about how eager they are to take the next step forward.

I've never been a Negative Nancy when it comes to being a fan -- though last season nearly pushed me over the edge -- but that changed yesterday. Stepping back and assessing the situation, I no longer see any hope with how the organization is currently constructed.

Well, I take that back. We can always "hope." But that's all we've got. Throw some crap against the wall and hope it magically sticks. That's what our future playoff chances essentially hinge on.

Realistically, this team will have to rely on luck alone to make any progress in the future.

Those of you nthrowing around the words never , luck and the like are too pessimistic in my view

The NFL is a bit more complex than thatt and mapping out the next decade is only speculation. Nothing is written in stone.

I agree! I'm not shocked Jerry, Wade and the players don't get it but i'm shocked a large portion of the fan base still doesn't get it.

Could you imagine Jimmy being on this flight? There would be mayday calls before they left Pennsylvania.

Jimma would thrown bodies off the plane. He'd have littered the Appalachians and then the Tennessee Valley and then the Mississppi delta with bodies.

Here lies the Dallas Cowboys: Murdered in cold blood by JERRY JONES.

My point is the future looks bleak for as long as we're being run in the manner in which we currently our. The day our organizational structure changes is when our future changes.

But under this structure -- one that hasn't fetched a playoff win in 12 years -- we clearly cannot rely on sound thinking to get us out of this mess.

Which is why I mention the luck factor. Clearly, anything can happen. Who knows, we could win five straight Super Bowls. But I refuse, at this moment, to believe we can get out of this mess based on any sort of logical plan.

Nothing in Jerry's recent history suggests that is remotely plausible.

Sounds like business as usual to me. Luckily, JJ will bring the staff back next year for "continuity" sake.

Well, we see were irrationalism has landed the Oakland franchise. They go through about a coach a season.

Logical plans are the only hope we have.
