Cowboys leaning towards not playing Dak in preseason; no final decision yet

With new offensive wrinkles, I’d have him play the 1st quarter in all three games. There can only be so much fine tuning in practice.
Thing is you don’t even use your real schematics in preseason. It’s all vanilla anyways so those wrinkles wouldn’t be worked on.

Is me pointing out that one time how practically every single post you make is about Dak Prescott like you have some untreated OCD the reason you don’t allow people to view your profile anymore?

There’s nothing wrong with getting on some meds. My doctor prescribed me some stuff that really helps the OCD, although my obsessions were not Dak Prescott related, but we all have our quirks.
Imagine looking at a Dak thread and expecting no Dak talk to be taking place.

Then you have the nerve to play couch psychiatrist.......

Why are we ignoring the fact that he had no preseason in 2021 and played one of his best games ever?

“But he sucked last year.” I know lol. That literally shows you there’s zero correlation in the effect of preseason snaps and his performance. He could not get reps and be great or not get reps and be bad. Just like he could get reps and be great or get reps and be bad.

The determining factor in winning week 1 will not be 12 preseason reps.

Let's hope there is no rust week 1 again
They didn’t play him in preseason heading into the 2021 season, and he played outstanding against Tampa. Although we lost the game he passed for over 400 yards and was as sharp as a razor. I don’t think his performance in the opener last season had anything to do with rust. Hardly anyone played well in that game. More and more teams aren’t going to be playing their starting QBs in preseason. I’ll be surprised if many if any starters for the Cowboys play in preseason. With a 17 game regular season teams are afraid of losing a starter to injury in preseason. You simply can’t risk starters in meaningless preseason games anymore. You have to use practices and scrimmages to sharpen players up.

What?

He got injured and had trash flying at him last time.
I’m talking about the buccaneers game 2 seasons ago.

The one where you almost converted after spewing he would be garbage because he missed the entire camp and pre season

What good would it do for him to play against teams not playing most of their starters?

These coaches are just trying to get to the first real game as healthy as possible.

Every year this thread pops up. It’s no benefit for Dak to play any preseason games against dummy defenses. Luckily we get to see Dak scrimmage against one of the best defenses in the NFL in practice everyday. Of course the usual Dak haters love to chime in.
Who are the Dak haters?

Pre-Season means very little to Dak or the Cowboys, it's a 17-week regular season that concerns both the most.

Pretty normal across the league. Has no real evidence of value.

2021 no preseason and parts of camp missed and he lights up Tampa.

2022 no preseason and he stunk it up.

Zero correlation between preseason play and week 1 productivity.
Unless you have new routes and receivers
