Cowboys legend DeMarcus Lawrence tells Jori Epstein this will be his last season

A very good career; a very good Cowboy. Finally got to be part of a big playoff run and win a ring. He had his critics among some fans but I think history will be kind to DLaw.

What did he say exactly like we stink and he’s gonna win right? Think something super specifically dope for him
Not in many words, but pretty much yeah, lol. Such a hater isn't he?

"Dallas is my home, but I know for sure I'm not going to win a Super Bowl there".

Aas the team was constructed he was right. You can't win with micah parsons leading your defense as the top guy. You can't win with dlaw as the top guy either but that's besides the point

I can't believe it was 2014 when we drafted DLaw. 13 years is a long time in the NFL. Glad he was able to get a ring before bowing out.

All those wasted years under Jerry's circus tent...

We really didn't build the D around him, nor would we have been able to do it with Micah...the direction the team is going on D was needed when D Law was in his prime health

I'm not surprised by this. DLaw's 34 years old, he's got a laundry list of injuries, and he was already debating retirement after the Super Bowl. The guaranteed money in his contract is pretty much up (Seattle effectively signed him to a one-year deal), and after 2027, it's really up. Seattle can release him at the end of this season with only a $2M dead cap hit.

I'm a big DLaw fan and would love to see him continue as long as he's able to. But if he's gonna call it, no shame in that. He has had a hell of a career.

13 years as a starter, 5x Pro Bowls... how many guys reach that territory. DLaw is no Hall of Famer, but there's a spot for him alongside Jim Jeffcoat and Greg Ellis in the Hall of Very Good.

Lawrence cowboy legend what a joke

that Brandon kid that wrote the article is still so wet behind the ears

He wasn't even born when the last real cowboy legend retired.

Unbelievable he wouldn't know a cowboy legend if he fell over one
