FRISCO, Texas – Will Dak Prescott start Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings?

As of Friday, the answer's still maybe.

The Cowboys are committed to giving Prescott every chance to play Sunday despite a calf strain that has limited his practice work this week. That likely means delaying the decision at least until Saturday, when the team holds its customary light practice before the road trip. Friday is the normal regeneration day for the players.

"We're focused on today," head coach Mike McCarthy said. "Just visiting with (associate athletic trainer/director of rehabilitation) Britt (Brown), he has a plan and has a workload capacity he wants to hit. Regen is a big part of his day based on the work he's done Wednesday and Thursday. We'll just stay on course."

McCarthy said Prescott ramped up his limited practice reps Thursday and felt soreness Friday morning, as was expected. But the work went well.

"He's confident. He doesn't waver," McCarthy said. "He wants to play and he wants to continue to work towards that."

Game time decision

..Sunday Morning, .....Dak is suiting up. All guns on deck. :starspin:

Those poor Vikings, having to prepare for Rush and Grier in addition to Dak. Just think of the seconds, maybe even minutes, they're wasting by splitting their focus.

I'm gonna sacrifice a calf on Saturday night!

Veal for all! Come on dak!

If the call is this close and they have to make it Sunday, they need to sit him so he is right for second part of season and playoffs - when it really matters. Especially given they have nothing behind him that gives us a prayer of a chance to do anything more this season. Hopefully, embarrassing themselves by playing Rush does not affect decision.

MM just playing it like old school Belichick..
Dak is going to play.

How difficult is it for a defense to prepare for three different QBs? I would think you prepare for the best one and then you should be able to be good for the other two. No?
My response above was more tongue in cheek than factual.
