he said earlier that Bartel made the 53 man squad, then after the cowboys cut him he says oh well he just barely missed it.

He and others have been riding the chris simms bandwagon for awhile. It's just him yapping.

When did Mosley ever really break a story? And now that he got his job at ESPN there's no need to worry about minor little annoyances like 'facts'.

Mickey and Brad did not feel that Bartel was that guy the Cowboys were looking for. Chris Simms is the type of guy they mentioned. This way the Cowboys would have him learn the system as the number 3, without having to be rushed, and next year he becomes the number two.

They said the team has to do this, because Johnson is on his last legs, and they want the backup to be there for years to come, and can play well in stretches when needed.

I totally agree with this philosophy.......and it doesn't mean they can't draft another QB next year.
