Cowboys may cut ties with new RB before he ever plays a snap in favor of rookie Jaydon Blue

OK, now that's weird. You just proved my point w/ the bolded. Strange.
Are you still saying that Williams had the serious knee injury last season? I'm just taking a random guess that 2022 wasn't part of last seasons NFL

Of course, that's obvious. You're talking quality starting proven RBs to a guy who got hurt after having a very good rook season. And an injury he may never fullly recover from, some do and some don't.
If Williams can play like he did as a rookie this season then that's great. ( No denying that) I just hope that the coaching staff doesn't take the approach like they did last season with the running backs. Took them half the season to take note that Rico was the overall best option.

We took 7 RBs to Oxnard last year when the top two RB slots were essentially taken already.

Count me as someone who believes we'll take at least one more than the 5 we have now.
We may to camp. I’m talking during the season. I don’t think one of the vets make the team and unless he has a great camp Duece may not

Sadly, it was noted that Schotty mentioned all of the RB room today... Blue... Williams... Sanders... Mafah... and then caught himself and said something like... "and we can't forget about"... Hunter Luepke.

Deuce = Forgotten man
But Jerry likes his SIZE

Very simple. Go with youth...

2 Thunders:

Hunter Luepke
Phil Mafah

2 Lightnings:

Jaydon Blue
Deuce Vaughn

Get rid of the old, injured, beat up, worn down and depreciated.
Javonte Williams is two months younger than Luepke and he is way more of a talented runner and a receiver.

Javonte Williams can not lead block or suddenly play emergency tight-end or special teams the way Luepke does. This offensive running scheme needs a lead fullback blocker.

Dallas Cowboys could cut Javonte Williams in favor of rookie Jaydon Blue

The flip side of the coin is that the position is so wide open Williams could take the starting job if he excels. He has the experience to work well with Dak Prescott as a pass protector.

But anything is possible with this Cowboys' backfield.

so, if he doesn't do well, he goes.

if he does well, he stays.

thank god for in depth journalism.
