Cowboys may stick a fork in the Coughlin Giants

Since the Jets (2-8) are the biggest train Rex in NYC, the Giant's record (3-8) might not be getting as much scrutiny as it would otherwise. Still, I suspect Tom Coughlin will go into forced retirement...his recent SB wins will prevent him from an outright firing. Some think Bill Cowher has been waiting for this moment, although I don't know if this is exactly the situation he wants to take on.

Coughlin is the head coach until the end of the season, so I don't think this game decides his fate. It's probably a must win though to have a chance at the post-season. I think they are doomed on that point either way and this is his last year.

We've got a chance to break their back. Even maybe make a statement in their house. I have no doubt we're going to get their best shot this week. I hope we put a boot on their throats.

Wait, at 7-3, the cowboys might miss the postseason but the giants at 3-8 have a chance?
What is this bizarro universe that I am living in?

It seems like Bill Cowher has been waiting for this position specifically to open up. I'm guessing he thought he had a chance at it much sooner if it weren't for Coughlin being able to extend his tenure there with a couple of Superbowls.

If we hope to accomplish anything this season, we need to punch out sorry teams like this. Put them out of their misery.

We're better.

We know it.

Let's show it.

I'll honestly be surprised if Cowher coaches again.

He's got a great thing going in television.

At this point Stash he might not. Since it's taken a lot longer then I'm guessing most people expected it would for the Giants job to open up.

I'll tell you what, I wouldn't trade a broadcast gig paying a reported $3 million per year to take a head coaching job requiring me to put in those ridiculous hours.

Much like Jimmy Johnson, I think Cowher has had enough of the coaching grind.

They are 9-7 if they win out. They won't win out, and if they were to, 9-7 won't get them there, short of a miracle. JMO
