I'd put good money on Calvin Watkins being the media member from ESPN Dallas.. He's a magnet for this type of stuff..ie unprofessional behavior.

i've had a couple of beers with watkins. him and clarence hill are good dudes. i wouldn't be so certain it was him. from the description of what happened it sounds like its someone with a little diva in him. that sounds more like timmy mac than watkins.

Do you remember Watkins getting suspended temporarily from DMN, because he said he could coach the team better than Wade Phillips during one of Wade's PC? Watkins got tangled up with Ratliff after the Sam Hurd incident. Rat almost ate him alive. Martellus Bennett went after him, too. Guy might be an ok individual, but he's been involved in way too many incidents as a media professional. He needs to get it together.

I like Clarence Hill. I'm FB friends with him. I agree with you about him being a good dude. Good father, too. Maybe not the best writer, but I charge some of the things I see in his article to editing.

Wow, that is a lot of excuses for a hack writer and repeat offender like Watkins.

If it hadn't been reported to be Watkins, I'd guess JJT. Sounds just like him, especially the "don't put hands on me or we can go" bit. He seems to think he's a bad a for some reason.

Clarence Hill is totally different. He's a cool guy who does a good job.

Wade was disrespected by the DFW media, but my point is that Watkins has a history of that type of behavior. Why is it that whenever something jumps off with the Cowboys and the media, he's always in the middle of it? Blaming it on him being a NYer means nothing to me. He's a professional and needs to act like one. Shoot, I'm from Texas and I've got a firecracker personality, but you're not going to see it in professional settings, because I know it's inappropriate and I'm not trying to get fired and escorted off the job. That's just ridiculous. smh

Oh and the Marty B is Marty B doesn't fly either. He was a goofball here, but never an aggressor. So the fact Watkins got him riled up kinda says alot.

Watkins might be cool in private settings, but he needs to act that way in professional settings.

Only time I've seen the media named in an incident when I *think* Nick Eatman and Ed Werder got into it. Basically Eatman got offended when Werder basically said he writes what he writes because he's on the payroll.

Haven't seen Werder in Valley Ranch since.. lol

You'd be correct, Cwat and a cameraman. CWat got in the way of a shot from the cameraman and they got into an argument according to an eyewitness that works on the Ticket.

Nick Eatman is a good writer and nice guy. Werder is a megalomaniac and an arse and I can personally attest to that. Stuff happens but when it does too frequently then it should be addressed. The PR guy from the Cowboys should handle this with the appropriate persons.

Cowboys should bar calvin watkins from the locker room if ESPN Dallas wants a reporter in there then they need to assign someone else. Cowboys and the league should have the right to bar a reporter for something like this.
