However...if that happened I may have to get a group together and storm VR and beat Jerry and crew.:laugh2:

Like going up to the 15-19 spot should he drop that far?
In Wade's scheme they want a big boy(325)at NT. According to Mickey they only think one player in the first round is a true NT and that is Branch. Harrell is considered to be a 4-3 DT.cc cowboy;1458767 said:We could stay where we are or maybe even trrade back a few spots and get Justin Harrell (DT from Tennessee). He will probably be better than Branch - he has a better motor and is very athletic.

Poppa said that He had talked to about 10 nfl executives this week and that as a consesus they believe this draft is weak. He said all the people he talked to told him that they only really had a first round grade of about 15 players and that when you get to the middle of the first round and the bottom of it, you are no longer getting first round talent. He went on to say how it will be difficult for teams to trade down because everyone past about 15 are going to want to do that.
Interesting.
Piggy back when goose told norm last week that it is a bad draft for Qb, te and rb and that you can get good corners all the way into the 5th round this year, well it will be very difficult to move down and seemingly from this easy to move up if there is something you want.
This is what they told Mickey they were looking for.Alexander;1458833 said:This is a fallacy.
He's had smaller nose tackles before.
They will slant much more than Ferguson ever has.
They may want a big fatty because Fergie is planning to play at 305 next year. He played at 315 last year and he's looking to go smaller.speedkilz88;1458828 said:In Wade's scheme they want a big boy(325)at NT. Not being a GM/scout i have no idea if they are being honest or just driving down the prices? It always seem like the pundits say how strong the draft is in the fall, then by April it's weak. I think these teams get wary of paying a guy like Spears or Carp 10-12 million in the 20's when they can pay a guy a fraction of that in the 50's and probably get similar talent.
I think the thing is that when looking for a player high in the draft they want a "big boy", and of course the 3 technique type guys aren't going to be what they are looking for either. Later in the draft they might have to get a little bit lighter guy since there may not be any better options in the heavier types.WoodysGirl;1458857 said:They may want a big fatty because Fergie is planning to play at 305 next year. I think the point that flew over your head was that althetic 300 pound guys like Okoye and Harrell, although they are really good players; they just aren't what the Cowboys are looking for in a NT.Alexander;1458865 said:Ideally, everyone running a 3-4 would like that.
I am sure they told Mickey Spagnola that they would like Calvin Johnson a lot also.
That doesn't make it likely.
