With the recent signing of Justin Tucker to a four-year deal worth $16.8 million with $10.8 million guaranteed it made me wonder if Dan Bailey wishes he could kick himself in the butt for signing his 2014 seven-year contract worth $22.5 million contract that included a $4 million signing bonus with a total of $7.5 million dollars in guaranteed money. Without knowing how Tucker’s contract spreads out yearly, we can only take a look at the 2016 salaries. Tucker is scheduled to count $4.5 million towards the cap to Bailey’s $3.3 million. You be the judge.

Dan Bailey was an un-drafted free agent from Oklahoma State in 2011 trying to earn a roster spot if you don’t remember, let me give you a quick refresher.

Dan Bailey replaced David Buehler, the former USC Kicker and Swiss Knife. David Buehler was drafted in the fifth-round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Yes! That David Buehler. The one who beat CB/S DeAngelo Smith in a fifty-yard dash during training camp (which he probably still hasn’t lived down) and became the kickoff specialist for the team...

I wish all of the Cowboys players conducted themselves like Dan Bailey. He's a class act, clutch, dependable, and never causes any on or off the field issues ( except that one time he got a flag for bumping a player).

I like that he is humble but one of the best kickers in the league.

Didn't Bailey miss the FG in college against Iowa St (not sure if Irving was there at the time or not) that would've put Ok State into the championship against Alabama?
