Cowboys named 'top landing spot' for disgruntled 25-year-old superstar

I mean, I don't know. It depends on what they really think of Williams and Sanders whom they may view as worst-case-scenario insurance.

This would make sense, but not for a huge contract.
It’s certainly a possibility but my point was it’s just speculation. Speculation that could be done about any player.

A few. Reader, Buckner, Avia. I think the bar for "dominant" for a 1-tech is really just a run stopping machine.
Buckner is about as 3-tech as you can get; he doesn’t even weigh 300 lbs. He’s played defensive end in a 3-4

Vita Vea and Dexter Lawrence are the 1-techs you trade the farm for

I'am kind of curious to why the Giants didn't try to re-sign and trade him for some future assets. I'm guessing they could have attempted a sign and trade by talking Barkley into the idea.
How do you talk a player into making their future team weaker? And what if not one says yes to your trade demands? Now you’re stuck with the RB on a contract you never wanted. Then considering how contracts work in the nfl, the Giants would instantly take 50+m$ in dead cap just to buy, what, a 3rd round pick? No one is offering more than that because they could have just signed Josh Jacobs for no pick, Derrick Henry for no pick, or traded for Mixon for a 5th or whatever it was.

That kind of thing is pretty close to impossible in the nfl

Don't trade him to a rival. I'm pretty sure the Giants hate the fact that he's with the eagles.
No, but what I’m saying is Saquon could

A) go as a FA to fully stocked houston

B) let Giants swindle Houston out of assets

Why would B ever be the preferred option for Saquon?

I laugh out loud every time the media spins the Cowboys as the "top landing spot" for a player when they haven't paid top dollar for anyone outside the organization since Brandon Carr 13 years ago.

Even George Pickens is still on his rookie contract.

It really depends on how loyal he is/was to the Giants. (It's a toss up to how loyal a player is to their main team) He did spend most of his career with the Giants
The Giants could have also tried the Luka route where they traded him prior to him being a FA w/o saying anything to him.

Just the fact that the Giants didn't get anything in return for him was pretty much highway robbery.
