Cowboys Nation: Where is Dee Ford now? You had him in your top 20 a few weeks ago. Where do scouts see him after the Combine?
TD: Late 1st. With some players you say that and mean late 1st, early 2nd. I would be shocked if Dee Ford fell to the 2nd round. I've heard from one guy I trust that he's a quiet riser in the scouting community.
CN: There are a lot of 3-4 teams in that final third of the round who could use an edge rusher. The Packers, the Eagles, the Chiefs, the Chargers, the 49ers, maybe even the Broncos if they're figuring that DeMarcus Ware is a short-timer.
TD: I've heard Ford is rising. I've heard more that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo keeps rising. I went back and did more background on David Fales, since I talked him up here so much. It turns out he was sick during Senior Bowl week, but he kept practicing and got better as the week went on.
I heard he was lights out at his pro day.
