Tonight my Florida State Seminoles take the stage in the national championship and like the Cowboys. FSU has had a long stump before coming back to grace. It has been over 13 years since FSU was in this position. Also like the Cowboys there were a few years (mostly the last 2) which the "experts" said that it was "OUR YEAR".

Now my question. Being as it has been so long time since our last Super Bowl and with the internet and social media coming on strong in sports. How will it feel when that Cowboys return to the Super Bowl? Of course now people say we're not America Team anymore but how will their tune change when the Cowboys reach the Super Bowl again?

Now for purposes of this post, Lets say it's this team that goes to the Super Bowl (Romo, Dez, Lee, Witten, Ware even Carr, Claiborne and JJ Wilcox) How will the media respond? How many people (so called fans) come out of the woodwork claiming they were Dallas fans when we had only 1 postseason win in 17 seasons and 3 straight playoff failures from win and in games?

How will it feel Cowboys Nation? What will ESPN, FOX and NFLN report and react?

I know how it will feel. I remember how it felt after SB 27. We were the laughingstock of the league only a couple of years before. The feeling is out of this world. Unfortunately I don't think it will happen with this bunch of Cowboys. Back then we had a coach who knew what he was doing. And Jerry hadn't decided he wanted to be a football guy yet.

The pundits will say the same thing they do about every team...players rose up to the occasion, they came together, overcame a bunch of problems, good for the city, blah blah blah.

The media will regurgitate the same crap it does every year.

Elation.

Some people say this franchise is no longer America's Team because they lack any imagination for acknowledging another team by some other moniker.

In short, the media will exclaim the return of America's Team to glory.
How many people (so called fans) come out of the woodwork claiming they were Dallas fans when we had only 1 postseason win in 17 seasons and 3 straight playoff failures from win and in games?
Approximately one fourth the total number of currently active fans will materialize out of nowhere in my opinion.
How will it feel Cowboys Nation?
Indescribable.

ESPN and FOX are the media. :) NFL Network will give us the same NFL championship platitudes that they grant every team during the post-Super Bowl offseason. Then the weekly will they repeat mantra will pickup each week of the following season. How long that would continue would depend upon the success or failure of the team.

Two things:

1. It will right because super bowl champions is what they should be. I always say, "its not a real super bowl unless cowboys are in it". Pisses people off when I say that too. Lol

2. Next years champions are here a year early.

I cried during Super Bowl XXVII.

I mean, it was a man cry. Not some sissy bawling with snot bubbles or anything.

I think this is just a cute way to rant about your college team on the cowboys forum. But hey, whatever.

You can look at it whatever way you want. But When we won n 92 I was a pre teen. And I couldn't believe my team was there by 93 and 95. I was at a point where I EXPECTED IT.

Over the years, it's been a lot of pain, and heartbreak and like most of you I can't really picture us getting there again. (but I know it WILL happen it just a matter of when) I also felt this same way about my FSU in September. In with all the media and social media as much as its been "messed up" to be the laughing stock of the league it gonna feel EVEN BETTER when we rise again.

Now if you don't see this team doing it fine, I understand. But if you're a FAN of the Dallas Cowboys and you don't think WE will EVER get to a super bowl. Then why are you even watching?
