Not saying just them but this team played with 0 emotion last year....
That's a bit of an exaggeration. They played with emotion. They just blew it when it mattered the most.
More killer instinct on defense would be really nice, though. I'm hoping to see just that with a rejuvenated Roy and Zach Thomas bringing his brand to the table. When Spencer comes back, we should see improvement in his second year. As a result, Greg Ellis will be more rested, allowing him to be more effective when he is in the game. Spears looks to be poised for his best season ever. The secondary is improved. Remember T-New will finally be a part of the action and Pacman will be rid of the rust soon. I think we'll see improved play out of the D, which will give the appearance of more emotion.
As far as the offense, they should be able to hold down the fort until the injured guys come back. This is year 2 under Garrett's system, so it may even be better than last year's version. All of the starters are returning, except Kosier (6 weeks) and Julius. And we may even have upgrades at those two positions. Hurd and Austin are both improved and the new kids on the block - Jones and Bennett - will add a new dimension. And don't forget this very important point - Cricket is healthy. They missed his blocking last year. Success will breed emotion. Watch.
