Freddie Kitchens was named OC after HC Hue Jackson was fired from the Browns. What took place over the last eight games was nothing short of historical. The offense had a yards per play average of 8.86, as the team went 5-3 during that span. Historical in that only the 2000 Rams have had a higher YPP average, 8.98, since the 1970 merger. Rookie Baker Mayfield had a 105+ QB rating as the team used every play in the book & some the players just made up. Yep, Freddie would hand out cards for players to write down plays they liked, were comfortable with, etc.
People commit to what they create. There was a ton more communication between the OC & his QB. That & more is why Kitchen is now the HC. It sure would be nice to see the Cowboys get a little bit more crazy with their offense too. Sure looks like fun when the Browns do it.
