Cowboys Next Quarterback?

Guys i want:

A. Luck
K. Moore
C. Ponder
M. Barkley
L. Jones
N. Foles
R. Mallett

Romo is 30 and IMO is as good as he's going to be at this point. If we have a string of bad seasons we'll definitely have to look at drafting one of these guys in the early rounds.

Prepare to be disappointed.

I'll answer this the same way I answered the Denard Robinson thread.

We already drafted Terrell Pryor back in 2007 but back then he went by

Greg McElroy QB Ala 6-3 #225

well he has not lost a game since 8th grade

and his dad works for the cowboys

so would not surprise me one bit if we look at him

and anybody's better than Aggie Boy

I'd give McGee some time to prove he is a capable backup/potential starter and then grab someone like Kirk Cousins in 2012.

McGee has potential, I would wait for him to mature..

That said, I believe Romo is a long way from declining in his career. I think he'll take a ring if Jerry doesn't go crazy and decide to rebuild...

My man Cousins just knocked off #11 Wisconsin and faces #19 next week in a huge rivalry. I'm looking forward to seeing how he handles the pressure.

Serious? Romo at age 30 is still not old for a QB. Barring injury, he can still play at a high level until he's 34 or even longer if we rebuild the offensive line. The future Cowboys franchise QB is probably still in 11th or 12th grade right now. Maybe even younger

If we drafted someone like Cousins in 2012, sit him for 2 or 3 years, then we'd have a potential starter in the wings behind 35 year old Romo. Remember, Aikman retired at 34 and we were totally unprepared for life without him. Or we could do it your way and replay our stretch of 5-11 seasons.

I have to agree here. Look at Green Bay. They selected Rodgers in the 1st round when Favre had a few years left. They didn't miss a beat.

I wouldn't be upset if we took a QB in the 1st or 2nd in 2013.
