Cowboys not visiting with Carimi or Prince

I know a lot of people like Carimi..what do you guys think about him not even getting a visit? Most of us don't care for Prince anyways

This means nothing. They've picked players several times who they never even talked to. I thought they did that with Sean Lee last year if I rememeber correctly.

some teams won't meet with players again that they meet with at the combine. You can only invite so many players and if you are comfoatble and having nothing else to discuss about another player liek carimi, then there is no reason to bring him in for a visit. Bring in players you need to know more about.

While all of the above is true..we typically do meet with our higher picks..if I re all correctly, we may not have net w Tnew..

It's highly possible that we know all we want to know on Carimi

They met with Lee. I got a PM from someone connected to Penn State who basically told me we would move up to get him.

I think they are going to visit with Carimi though.

They've done this before. Probably to disguise their pick so people don't jump ahead of them.

It definitely doesn't mean they won't select those guys.

Hmm.... I don't think Gosselin has any particular insight into the Cowboys around draft time -- actually, I think he has fewer/weaker connections with us than with most teams -- but Norm asked him yesterday why we've been associated with pretty much everyone but Prince lately. Gosselin said maybe that wasn't a coincidence and was actually a good sign we had interest in him.

I've been thinking about that lately. Why so open with the Peterson & Texas CB interest but not Prince?

I will second Hostile's reply by stating that I vividly remember them bringing Sean Lee in, and how they were astounded on his ability to pick up the Cowboys defensive schemes so fast.

Of the four, Smith is considered the top prospect because of his athleticism, but Castonzo is highly rated on some team’s boards, too.
