1:19:29 pm "We got better last week versus the run but Williams is a great back and we have to be ready for him cutting the ball backside and making big runs." - Cowboys DE Marcus Spears on Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams.
12:42:41 pm "I am feeling better already. I feel good today and I am sure I will be better tomorrow. I have done a little light running." - Cowboys RB Marion Barber on this status of his quad injury.
12:06:10 pm Cowboys RB Marion Barber will work with the team's training staff the next two days and then they will determine whether he will be available for the Monday night game versus the Panthers. As of now, Barber is not ruled out.

Barber can't go 100%, they gotta sit him. Can't afford to lose him for much of the season for this one game.

QB Jake Delhomme and the Panthers might be off to a 0-2 start but don't tell that to Cowboys DE Marcus Spears. "Jake is a streaky quarterback and he can hurt you. You do remember that he has been in the Super Bowl?"
2:50:31 pm Cowboys RB Marion Barber is at practice today and is taking part in the club's preperations for the Monday night game versus the Panthers.

Cutback runners don't worry me against Dallas because of the discipline that Ware has and that Spencer should have learned by now.

I disagree. The 30+ yard run that Jacobs had was because Spencer tried to slant inside instead of containing the outside. Jacobs blew right past him and rumbled for 30+.

If Jacobs can punk the defense for that large of a chunk because Spencer abandoned his assignment, Williams will eat his lunch before he even knew the ball was snapped.

Williams will get his yards. You can't completely shut a back like that out.

However, if you can pressure Delhomne and force him into errors, it won't matter about Williams.

Dont forget about the rest of the night where Jacobs was hit behind the line and stopped for short gains on most of his carries. They had something like 12 yards rushing at the half. But Spencer sucks though. You hit it right on the head...

If I was Wade and the defense I wouldn't even worry about the Panther's running game....Steve Smith is gonna tear us apart...believe it, this guys a monster and our secondary sucks it's gonna be a bloodbath

I think MB3 is fine and I suspected is was a cramp from the get go. They should've just come clean: I know the MRI of the quad was just precautionary, but don't baby the man. Cramps happen: legit reason to pull up lame. We dodged a bullet IMO: play him: we need him.

Yep... Spencer has to be disciplined against the run.

What is this based upon? Spencer is about 50/50 on any given play to be in the right lane and angle.

I can't believe people are worried about Williams when the Dallas corners are gonna be up against the REAL Steve Smith. I know many like to think Newman owns this WR, but I tend to doubt he will be able to cover Smith one-on-one on Monday.

jacob fathead was crushed the first half because we focused on stopping the run while they threw all over us. the second half we go to stop the pass and right out of the gate they blast us the first series with the run. the rest was a mix.

Spears should give his pay check back, he was on the bench watching Igor and Barbie rush Eli on that last drive... he leads the team, in being the first guy, after the ball carrier goes down, complete waste of space!

Spears is the epitomy of Jerryland!

I didn't know that Greg Ellis posted here. You could be a little more subtle about your avatar, there, Greg.

Right now, Newman's struggling to cover scrubs, let alone an elite player like Smith.

I believe it was Ware, not Spencer....also, on that same drive, didn't Hamlin run straight up field and right by the Giants RB on a run blitz, instead of running at the RB?

based on hope and what he should do...i didn't mean it's guaranteed
