1:12:26 pm As the trade deadline passed, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that he did receive a major trade offer for one of his players but decided that he did not want to make the move.
1:08:06 pm Cowboys owner Jerry Jones met with the media this morning but would not confirm that WR Miles Austin would be the starter over WR Patrick Crayton this week versus the Falcons.

hmmm who could it have been. Had to have been one of the RB's. Or maybe somebody wanted Carpenter but Jerry felt he was ready to breakout! :laugh2:

My guess it was TC and Jerrah was wise to deny the trade offer if that was the case.

Teams typically only approach teams with winning records for players when they perceive that team has enough depth to consider the trade. Using that logic, it is most likely that the trade offer was for a running back.

Given that Felix Jones has been injured often and that the entire football world knows how important he is to the Cowboys, the offer would have likely been for Choice or Barber. Also given that Barber is in the middle of a big contract, process of elimination leaves us with the offer being for Choice.

Just my opinion though ...

An even wiser decision would be to not even discuss it at all.
