3:53:43 pm Among quarterbacks with at least 15 career road starts in the Super Bowl era, Cowboys QB Tony Romo is tied with Patriots QB Tom Brady for the second -best road winning percentage at .750%. Romo is 15-5 all time on the road as the Cowboys travel to Denver this weekend.

3:51:01 pm This week's game against the Broncos is being played on October 4th. In the 49-plus years of Dallas Cowboys football, there have been five October 4th games - all on the road. The Cowboys have a 2-3 record in those games.

3:48:29 pm For the Cowboys there was a good news, bad news situation at practice. The good news was RB Marion Barber (quad) is on the field. The bad news is that RB Felix Jones (knee) is not. Jones suffered an injury to his PCL Monday night versus the Panthers and will most likely miss this week's game.

2:16:40 pm "I have to be ready to roll. I am just trying to do my job. I don't want to let these guys down." - Cowboys RB Tashard Choice on the possibility of being the starter this week as Dallas travels to Denver.
2:14:19 pm "I am finished with trying for the sexy win. Give me the ugly wins. Go out and play ball. Win by any means neccessary." - Cowboys LB Bradie James on his new defensive approach.

1:48:55 pm "If you want to hang around in this legaue, you better know how to pick up the blitz." - Cowboys RB Tashard Choice on what is the most important thing he has learned in two years of playing in the NFL.

1:48:01 pm "When you play against Brian Dawkins, you had better bring your 'A' game and keep your head up. There is a reason he is a Pro Bowler and future Hall of Famer." - Cowboys WR Roy Williams on the Broncos starting safety.
1:44:31 pm "I liked him coming out of college. He was one of the most complete backs I saw. Confident kid, but the only knock on him is that he was not a burner. " - Cowboys RB coach Skip Peete on what he saw in RB Tashard Choice.

Obviously this guy did not get the memo that Romo has NEVER won a big game. Stop spreading lies about him being 15 - 5 on the road.

Dawkins elevates any defense and I think he gives their secondary an advantage over our WR corps. That's why it's a bummer that Felix Jones won't be on the field- because he's such a burner he keeps defenses from cheating up. At lease we'll have Barber and Choice, but both play similar styles (more north-south running styles). They'll have to both have a good game running so that play action can work effectively to free up our WRs. As long as Garrett uses more power sets and less finess sets this backfiled should be able to control the clock.

Emmitt Smith wasn't a burner either. Choice is a solid back and he'll need to compliment Barber on Sunday. That will be a bit different role for him. Up to now he's been the substitution back; now he'll have to be a complimentary back. And he may be better in that role because unlike Barber he struggles with blitz pick up. But with Barber back there, he can focus on blitz pick up while Choice can focus more on his strength as a runner and receiver as well. So I expect Choice to have his best game yet, now that he's the complimet to Barber and not merely the replacement.

What a mind-numbingly useless factoid.
