players appalauded the efforts of sensabaugh and miles austin for attending practice without a signed contract yet, along with raves from their coaches. On one particular play, sensabaugh layed back in coverage while a TE ran a route and then sensabaugh undercut the TE for an easy interception. Austin made a handful of difficult grabs, but worked with the young wrs giving them instruction like footwork, hand placement, route running, ...

Beuhler is working not only on field goals but perfecting his kicking off, wooohooo. Which beuhler when kickoffs arent deep into the endzone and high, then in the corner of the endzone to pin the returner there, while doing this beuhler dropped 6 straight kickoffs inside the 5 yard line, and near the edge of the field, which will pin a kickoff return in the corner so he cant get out very well.

As you know roger staubach stopped by and threw a few passes, which you could tell roger can still throw a pretty ball, even though some of his zip might be off due to his age.

Staubach talked about getting that feeling like he did when troy was here good things are gonna happen and same thing now with romo.

Roger mentioned with players like dez, felix and austin, that roger felt he could still play with the talent surrounding the qb they have now,

only difference in the linebackers lineup this week was ware spending some time this week on the left side, while spencer was on the weak side, but take note of this because its a little early to add wrinkles in your schemes and not use them later during the year, this most likely will free up ware some. Remember in the super bowl, when we put charles haley over the big huge OT for the bills, cant think of his name right now, but on tip of my tongue, anwway this might create a big sack or turnover for us this year, so keep your eyes open for this little trick.

lee is keeping his knee brace on for precaution measures, but will get rid of it when doctors tell him he is ready to do so.

sean lessimore is now wearing 69

as most of you know, now, austin wore # 2, austin is doing this for a nod towards ny yankee derek jeter, because austin is a yankees fan.

back to jason garrett from last week, jason is toying around with ways to use his TEs. This week, (last week remember he had witten line up behind philips), this week he has bennett line up behind ROT columbo in a modified hback stance. In one such play, bennett took a step back to catch the ball, and took off behind columbo for some yardage, while jesting at the linebacker who was trying to get past columbo.

at the end of the day, the team ran some conditioniing runs, with siavii, spears and junior aumavae brining up the rear while the other players were ahead, with igor and jason hatcher excused from running, wonder why for hatcher?

punt returners were wall, mccann, newman, gordon, ogletree and dez.

I like the fact that Garrett is getting more creative. Hopefully he can advance as a play caller this year.

"I'm a big Tony Romo fan," Staubach said. "You've got that feeling. There's a few quarterbacks that when they hit the field, you know something good is going to happen. When Troy was here, I knew it. I just felt it. I feel the same way about Tony. When he's on that field, good things are going to happen."

Imagine how good Romo would be if he would only practice.

:D thats a good one hole in the roof, romo is getting there, taking those baby little steps now to become that great qb and championship qb,

again, i never said romo wasnt doing that, i did say he was taking those baby steps, just needs to take a few more now

my thing and always will be (till romo wins that first superbowl), that in practice time, its total dallas cowboys time, when cowboys practice at valley ranch etc.. nothing else, just dallas cowboys football

once the players win that first superbowl, along with romo, then more leadership will come from this team, which is slowly getting there. With players like brooking, witten, bradie, ware, ratliff, romo, and once the players get that super bowl mentality, then romo can back off, enjoy some things more, because the players all will know what it takes to win, and then it wont be all on the shoulders of romo, but till that happens, romo has to be the leader of this team

because if you look at all the great teams, for example
49ers joe montana
steelers terry bradshaw
cowboys roger staubach
cowboys troy aikman

the team followed and believed in their qb and backed him up

like in one superbowl against the steelers, we knocked out terry bradshaw

reports were, dont know how true, but bradshaw was ok, but playing possom when they carried him off the field, and this riled the steelers defense, and they played us hard again and beat us

or like the time, some phily eagle player, tom i think was his name, stomped on rogers little pinkie, this caused our defensive players to rise up another level while getting mad,

This is a bit of a dangerous practice. If he hits it a little off, the kick goes out of bounds. This is that directional kicking that Bruce Read had Folk doing that frustrated him so much supposedly. I'd rather Buehler do exactly what he was doing last year, it worked just fine.

Howard "House" Ballard. I still recall Haley getting underneath his pads and driving him back into the QB. He was not the biggest or even fastest rusher around but was a master at using his hands and proper leverage, better than any player I have ever seen.

Roger Staubach showed up at Dallas Cowboys headquarters for a photo shoot with Tony Romo. He wound up speaking to the entire team.

Coach Wade Phillips asked Staubach to offer some words of wisdom Monday, and the Hall of Fame quarterback gave the group a history lesson.

He told them about the 1971 club that won Dallas' first Super Bowl title. They were 4-3 at midseason, then put aside their personal agendas and won their next 10 games.

Staubach is head of the committee in charge of the upcoming Super Bowl, which will be played at Cowboys Stadium. He said he didn't remind them of the chance to be the first-ever home team to play in the big game.

I wish that Roger Staubach would let Romo concentrate on getting taller ..... Romo does not have time to have "photo shoots" with some old Cowboy Legend in May
