Cowboys now 13th youngest team in the NFL

Based on the current 53 man Rosters, the Cowboys are now the 13th youngest team in the NFL:

I don't know what it was last year but it sure feels like we are a lot younger.

Tampa Bay has the youngest roster in the NFL and the Packers have the 2nd youngest roster.

The Steeers are the oldest team in the NFL and the Cardinals are the 2nd oldest.

Kitna and Brooking - take them out and I bet we are now looking at about 8th

I think looking at the starting lineups is more to the point then adding in backups that are old.

Kitna, Brooking are gone after this year. Even James may be.

Throw in Kosier likely being phased out for Arkin next year or the following and Dockery not hanging around too long.

Hard to go wrong with a youth movement unless you are a borderline Superbowl team (ie Pittsburg).

Saw that the Packers, in typical Ted Thomson style, had 10 rookies make their 53 man roster. Pretty impressive considering they already had the 2nd youngest team in 2010 -- Superbowl winner, with 17 guys on IR, etc, etc

I would have thought they might have 2-3 rookies make it tops.

I love our youth but how many "young" guys do we actually think have potential to be studs? I see it on the Bucc's roster. I see some on this roster. But i'd much rather be going young while hitting on our draft picks. We've cut far too many draft picks since 2009. That's a recipe for disaster.

Adding 10 Rookies to the roster, pretty much year after year, will tend to that.

I think the Cowboys made fairly drastic changes to the offense this year.... next year the defense will get a similar overhaul and I think the age of the Cowboys roster will get even younger.

Given their age, it will be interesting to see how their defense holds up toward the end of the year. I realize preseasons can often be a mirage but they looked dominant and it looks like they're going to be in the running again damn it. I suspect they will start out the year fast since they are an established unit and probably benefit from the shortened off season and can hit the ground running whereas teams like Dallas are working with new coaches and defensive schemes and it would seem they will need time to implement and get going. Regardless, it's gonna be fun to watch how things play out.
