As bombers...

Noah Brown > A.J Brown
Gallup > Davonte Smith
Ceedee Lamb > Quez Watkins
Cowboys tight ends > Eagles group

Personal opinion or stats that back this statement that our receivers are better blockers? I ask because Goedart and Brown are considered very good at run blocking.

OK...while grabbing a bite...how about a simple question:

On offense, what is the quickest definition of a "lineman?"

If something walks like a duck, talks like a duck...is it a duck?
The quickest definition of a lineman is the NFL rules. You must have five ineligible receivers (and seven men total) on the line for every play. The five ineligibles are linemen. The five eligibles are not. (The QB is sometimes eligible, sometimes not, depending on how he takes the snap). Eligible receivers are free to block as well and often do; I'm not sure what's new here.

Was that the variant with Rolls Royce Merlin engine?
Merlins were used starting with the B model but the D model had Merlins that were manufacturing in the U.S. by Packard on a license deal with Rolls-Royce.

The rapid pace of technical development during wartime was amazing.

Most of the Merlin developments were with regard to the Supercharger and the development of a pressurized carburetor (basically throttle body fuel injection).

There were upgrades released to the field to update the older models with the new superchargers and carburetors.

If you ever watched TV show from the seventies Bah Bah Black Sheep with Robert Conrad, I remember them referencing that they were upgrading the carbs...

And when the moon was full, You'd strip to Your skin and join Rox, running furiously, heart racing, blood pumping, baying joyously at the moon, pausing only to enjoy raw dripping meat from freshly caught woodchucks, with delicious all-butter croissants purchased from a local artesian bakery, all washed down with a reasonably priced but surprisingly good Californian Zinfandel?

How'd you know?!

Except yours is inaccurate

A lineman isn't a guy who blocks. Well...ok.

This isn't a trivial point here.

Once the ball carrier or receiver is established it makes absolutely *zero* difference if you are receiver-eligible, what your uniform number is...there are 9 blockers on the field. NINE. Shanahan has smoked the league because he's understood that. Moore and the Dallas folks have come to understand it as well, and its paying big dividends.

Help me count here: An offensive line has a center, two guards, two tackles. Five, right?

Right? Five on the offensive line that make the offense move with mauling and mashing?

Perhaps we can't even count right.
Perhaps the story is bigger than you think.

What do I mean?
Let's look at some visuals of a few plays late Friday, shall we? (Right here)
See bigger numbers, and perhaps better gain a better understanding of Dallas surprising dominance.

You have it backwards. All linemen are guys who block. Not all guys who block are linemen.

The rest of your point has nothing to do with linemen and everything to do with blocking, about which we agree.
